Fun and Sun on the Costa Brava
A vibrant Costa Brava resort at the foot of mountains, Lloret de Mar has fabulous beaches and plenty to do for all ages. Carrer de Sant Pere leading inland from the beach has lots of international brands shopping and exclusive jewellers. The town also has excellent nightlife, with a wealth of restaurants, bars and one of the Costa Brava’s biggest casinos.
For a taste of culture, the Verdaguer Centre has relics from the Iberian settlement of Puig de Castellet dating to 250 BC.
Just north is Water World, one of Europe’s biggest waterparks, while offshore watersports include diving, snorkelling and sea kayaking. Lloret de Mar also offers go-karts and a few golf courses.
In the center of town are Booking.com’s selection of guest houses, apartments and hotels with pools, while high-rise Lloret de Mar hotels face the town’s 2 beaches – Fenals and Lloret. The latter has a long, tree-lined promenade ending at one of the craggy coves typical of this coastline. The walk up to the cliffs is worth it for the views over the town and Mediterranean Sea.
As Lloret de Mar is only around a 30 minute drive from Girona Airport, it’s not long before you can dip your toes in the water.

Great for a sun holiday although the sand is more pebbles so can be sore to walk but they have also implemented no smoking on the beach which I liked. Plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes to enjoy food and drink at all different prices to suit every budget The coastal walks are just lovely and not super busy.

Loved my stay in Lloret de Mar. Hotel (Tent Lloret de Mar) was so central to everything, we could walk everywhere. Bus only 40 mins from Girona airport. Really good night life but also lovely restaurants etc to just have a relaxing dinner and enjoy the atmosphere. Locals very friendly as well as staff in restaurants, shops etc. Beach is really nice for swimming and there are also boat trips you can take around the strand which I’d highly recommend. La Brava restaurant is a great place for dinner and there’s a really nice cocktail place straight across from it. Also Gerry’s pub is a great spot. The location is perfect, close to everything. On the other hand, too many cars, motorcycles, garbage collector trucks and building renovations around the hotel caused a lot of noise so if the purpose is to have a completely relaxing and quiet stay, this might be a drawback.

Location wise it is delightful because it's convenient to all shops and restaurants nearby and beach is just right in front of the hotel. It was very clean, the beds were very comfortable. We check in late without a problem. There was no problem with parking, big comfortable parking is just next to the beach, 2 minutes from the hotel - it is paid one. Free parking is 6 minutes walk from the hotel - it is called Aparcament Can Lloranes if you want to find it on Google maps.
