A Year-Long Party
The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is made of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches, such as the one in northern Puerto de la Cruz, are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas' neighbors, also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Water sports are always popular here, and the area features Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found at the Playa de las Américas accommodations on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted on boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
But it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping center and Verónicas strip only really get hopping after midnight.

The trip to night time mount teide was excellent. The whale watching trip was excellent. The night time walk to restaraunts and pubs is very unpleasent. It's amazing place for us.
It's amazing place for us. It's our 4th year in a row here in Playa de las Americas. We really enjoy being here as there is great night life but during the day it's plenty of things to do. Nice beaches and views to see. We usually rent a car and travel over the whole island of Tenerife :) Perfect place for us during autumn/winter period.AbramczykPoland - Scored 1010

We love Playa De Las America We have been several times & love the resort Only negative was the Tenerife Airport we waited 1.5 hours to get through Customs on arrival and were exhausted on arrival and departing 1.5 hours to check-in bags no proper check-in facility..... old age

Lots of different types of restaurants/cafes. There is plenty to do and see. Wonderful beaches. It's between Los Christianos and Costa Adeje, both beautiful places to visit. I would recommend restaurant Melrose,and a great, funny bar called Brahms and Lyst.

There quite a few supermarket/Grocery store nearby and one was in the the hotel itself. We had pool view balcony but we did get some sea view with it (No sunset view over the sea although).
