Housed in a superb and well-preserved Arab fortress, dating from the 12th century, the Siguënza provides magnificent accommodations for exploring the historical region of Castilla La Mancha. Reasonable price to stay in a castle! Nice, comfortable room with a good view of the city; easy walking distance to city center and restaurants; attractive small city with several historic buildings; room was fairly quiet at night; very convenient parking on site.
Set in central Sigüenza, next to Alameda Park, this comfortable hotel offers a terrace and free Wi-Fi. Rooms include a balcony and many offer panoramic views of the city and Sigüenza Cathedral. A warm welcome is assured by the friendly hotel owners. Hotel is in an excellent location and directly opposite a park. All sightseeing attractions are within easy walking distance. We arrived as guests and left as friends.
Hotel El Doncel is set in a restored 18th-century house, 1312 feet from Sigüenza Cathedral. Midway between Zaragoza and Madrid, it offers easy access to the A-2 motorway and free WiFi. The staff were very friendly, carrying our luggage up to the room on the third floor and giving us a free pot of local honey at the end of our stay! We had lunch there and had the tasting menu which was amazing. If you do try this menu though, don't fill yourself up on bread because it is a lot of food!
Molino de Alcuneza Hotel Spa is a restored 15th-century flour mill, set next to the River Henares. This boutique hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, spa and attractive gardens. Being out of the world for a couple of days. The rest of the year will be hard to stand.
The well-priced Hotel Laberinto can be found in the center of Sigüenza, next to the Alameda Park. It offers air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Pilar and Luis are wonderful hosts. Muy amables! The room was impeccable, the heat in january was superb. The coffee was the best we've had in our many journeys to Spain, and they made us just what we requested for dinner. 5 minute walk to the station and surprising quiet.

Showed up on a dark, rainy night. We got a 100 euro fine for parking wrong. The single beds were very uncomfortable. We felt like strangers and not comfortable. The apartment was very clean and in a good location.
La ciudad en sí misma es muy agradable, con buenas opciones de senderismo cercanas, muy buenos restaurantes (destaco el sencillo pero impecable restaurante Sánchez), y con un casco antiguo realmente bonito.
Lovely little town. We enjoyed walking through the little streets soaking up the history - although our legs felt it the next day as some of the streets are pretty steep. Castle is fabulous. Some great little tapas bars too.
Easy town for exploring on foot, although on hill. Some very fine, expensive dining options available but cheaper options slightly harder to find. Cafe Arico opposite the cathedral was great for food and drink. Guadalajara Province is stunningly beautiful and all around, particularly to the north along the Rio Duero are many castles of the Moors / Christian Era .
Loved walking around the city any time of day. Such a well preserved, quiet and ancient place. Our favorite place to dine was Atrio, a cafe/bar across from the cathedral. It had great atmosphere, excellent food and a friendly and helpful staff. We drove out to Monasterio de Piedra, about 1 1/2 hours northeast if Siguenza. Most amazing place! Waterfalls everywhere, even one that was hundreds of feet tall that had a cave behind it that you could enter and walk through. It was like a movie set. Just amazing and was my teenage son's favorite thing we have done in Spain so far.

What a fabulous place! Upon arrival there was a lovely log fire with quiet jazz piano music in the background and you could relax in the comfortable lounge area. The hosts were very helpful. The rooms were outstanding with extra-comfy beds and very warm central heating. The breakfast was truly outstanding. It was a short walk from the hotel to the centre of Siguenza - the castle and the plaza and cathedral were all within reach. A quiet area but close enough to the centre of town.

Staying in a fortress on the top of a hill is a rather special experience. The town itself is old and charming, in part because it has remained within confines and not be allowed to sprawl. The hotel has a solidity that it hardly surprising, given the building's original function. The restaurant is of good quality. There is a conventionality to the establishment and a certain lack of modernity, but this is in keeping with its structure and surroundings. A relaxed place to be.

The location is excellent as the hotel is situated mid-way between the cathedral and the Parador. This converted historic home sits on a beautiful little street, that provides a charming walk in either direction. Restaurants and cafes are within a three minute walk. Additionally....they live up to their marketing--and really are pet friendly. Our dog was treated kindly and we were not asked to pay an additional pet charge. We will return.

The receptionist was pleasant, helpful and very informative. The town itself is a heritage center, quite quaint, with many explanatory signboards giving insights into the history, culture, inhabitants, and medieval way of life. Like being in another world.
