The host was so friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. Lovely spacious villa. The terraces were an added bonus. Very comfortable beds. We all slept so well. Very well equipped villa. We would highly recommend. Loved waking up having the island to ourselves before the tourists arrived. So peaceful.

Great place to visit with kids and family.

Great place to visit with kids and family. The romantic part of the island with the lighthouse and the old forgotten tower is wild and full of charm, while the inhabited part feels cozy and a bit whimsical. We’ve brought home lots of bright moments, sweet memories, and enjoyed the delicious local cuisine as well.

Relaxing few days with good food and cocktails.

Relaxing few days with good food and cocktails. Eat by 4pm as restaurants close for the day soon after. 2 sunloungers and parasol for €24 whole day (for me a must) as beach is very Stoney. Take your snorkel and beach shoes

We had a great time here, the room was clean and adequate...

We had a great time here, the room was clean and adequate located in a lovely narrow street. The owners and staff are so friendly, when we left and got home we realised that we had left some clothes in the wardrobe, we contacted them and they bagged them up all very neatly folded and took them to the mainland next day for us to collect, so very very kind of them, we shall definitely be returning.

Tabarca is a small island (only 1800m by 400 and some 22km...

Tabarca is a small island (only 1800m by 400 and some 22km from Alicante, but a 25 minute boat ride from Santa Pola (there are many boats offering cheap tickets to the island). A one-night stay would be the best for most people but it's a great place to relax and take short walks for those who want to spend more time there. The islet is a marine reserve with clean transparent water surrounding it. There are no cars so the air is clean (apart from when the boats arrive in the port). It's not a place for serious trekkers because it is very small and even children walk round the entire island. The sights are mainly of the flora and fauna (loads of seagulls defending their territory and much biodiversity and the odd dolphin can be spotted), coves, a church, a museum, a small fortification, a light house and and a cemetery (all, apart from the church, divided from the zone where the hotels and restaurants are). There are also a series of smaller islets and the remains of the old military walls (built as part of the coastal defence of Alicante). It has many bars and restaurants and the general level of the cuisine is very good. The larger and better known restaurants are on the expensive side but it is possible to find smaller places with good daily menus at a fair price. If there are no clouds, the skies are very clear at night, which make Tabarca an attractive option for anyone interested in astronomy (once you are away from the more built up area). At weekends and holidays the island really fills up but most tourists return to the mainland before nightfall, which makes evening very pleasant if you plan to stay over. The people who live on the island and serve the public are also very friendly. It's very easy to get around on this island so no special plans are necessary. Sun rises and sunsets are highlights as well and the fresh air and views of the coves and sea.

Just a lovely island with history.

Just a lovely island with history. If you are going for a beach day take swimming shoes as it is very rocky and slippery. Lovely bar in the square which we really enjoyed. Not to many restuarants open on a night.

Beautiful simple island, no fuss,

Beautiful simple island, no fuss, All rules kept regarding COVID Loved the walk around the Island. Found a lovely restaurant, with a Pirate 🏴‍☠️ out front. A lot of restaurants were closed for evening meal, we presumed this was due to COVID restrictions.

We stayed at Hotel Isla Plana and everything was really good. The breakfast was a classic buffet with yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, sausages, fried eggs, jamón, cheese, a variety of marmalades, and even chocolate. I especially enjoyed the café con leche. A unique and very thoughtful feature was the free drying rack for wet swimsuits right outside our door – one of the few hotels that offers this, and such a practical solution! In general, the staff were super friendly, and it’s a lovely place to stay while visiting the island.

Spotless room with a decent shower and nice little balcony and working fridge/air con. Great location because the little town area of Tabarca is small. There isn’t a reception but a number to ring when you get there in the hall area (it’s also included on the confirmation of your booking). For us, the key was left ready in the door. They also have recommendations on where to eat as many of the restaurants close early so keep an eye on that.

Beautiful accommodation with terrific views out to the sea. The room was modern and beautifully furnished. The Staff were friendly from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was wonderful, with a lot of care and attention provided by a lovely Italian breakfast waiter, who was so friendly. We will stay at Cala Tabarca again. Thank you for an amazing stay! Very nice location, in a calm street but at the heart of Tabarca. The house was perfect for a family of 8 people. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The host was very generous in letting us do the check-out at a later hour so that we could enjoy the island on the sunday as well! We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

Been to the island many times but never stayed there, it was amazing staying there, so peaceful at night, amazing restaurants, the hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast the next morning was amazing overlooking a wonderful scene. The staff were very accommodating and helpful in everyday, friendly and made you feel very welcome.
