A short walk from the beach, this chic and simple hotel serves a great breakfast and you can stay up-to-date on the free wireless internet connection – relax in the lounge.

Superb location, Good value for money. Pleasant layout. Despite not having an elevator for people, it does have an elevator for luggage so that you don't need to carry your suitcase (if you have one) up the stairs. A plus: the nearby parking garage (at an nominal extra cost) - parking a car would otherwise be very difficult.

FAQs about hotels in Tarragona

History, Good Food and the Golden Coast

Tarragona is located on the sunny ‘Costa Daurada‘, in southern Catalonia. With an inheritance dating back to local tribes, Carthaginians and Romans, it is today a vibrant cultural and economic centre. Don’t miss the ‘human towers’ during Tarragona’s Santa Tecla Festival, but check your hotel availability for the area with enough time in advance.

The ‘human towers’ became so popular all across Catalonia that they can be visited throughout the year at the festival centre ‘Casa de la Festa’. Try the local seafood dishes in El Serrallo fishing district, and don’t miss the wines from the area.

The city was an important provincial capital during Roman times and includes several UNESCO World Heritage sites, with the seaside amphitheatre from the 2nd century being the most relevant. The 12th-century Cathedral of St Mary was built on the site of a former Jupiter temple and a Muslim mosque, and mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.

Reus Airport is a few kilometres outside the city, while Barcelona El Prat Airport is 90 km away. Tarragona is located near Salou resort, and hotels in the area are also very popular. Whether you need a guest house in the historic centre or a resort on the beach, check out the Tarragona accommodation deals on Booking.com!

You can easily spend a couple or three days visiting historic sites. The beaches are beautiful, clean and uncrowded most of the time, you can always find some where to relax. For those that exercise, jogging or running is a pleasure, flat or inclines you can have it all and easily avoid the bits you don't like. Good food everywhere to fit all budgets.

Like a smaller, less touristy Barcelona.

Like a smaller, less touristy Barcelona. Has a Rambla nova area, a central market, loads of bars and restaurants, a cathedral, roman remains and an amphitheatre, a beach and a marina area. All of which are in easy walking distance of each other. It felt really safe there. There is a train station and if you wanted to nip to Barcelona it is only an hour away by train and very cheap. The local people were extremely friendly.

I was only in tarragona for 1 day and night and could have stayed for much longer , I was situated in the old town which was great for bars and food all of which I found good value given the location . I loved the feel of the place even though I didnt visit the beaches and to me it still felt like a real Spanish city .

For us, Tarragonna was just the right size. You can walk everywhere. Sights were easily accessible and staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Some areas were a little shabby. There seemed to be few "ordinary" restaurants offering set meals.

Lovely city to visit, you need at least a couple of days - I didn't manage to do everything I wanted to do in two days! Definitely do a free walking tour (e.g. Guru Walks) as you learn so much about the layers of history in the city. Lots of great places to eat, nice views, lovely beach and lots of options for longer walks out of the city (along the coast and to the aqueduct).

Great location place - old town, but away from the crowds, not far to the grocery stores and restaurants. Public underground parking place - cheap (5.95 per one day) and around 300 m from apartment. Not far to the beach. Pleasant and easy communication with Eva - helpful, give answers to questions in a short time, also suggested nearest parking place and what to see in Tarragona and around. Good WIFI. Apartment was clean and for each person there was 2 towels. The kids loved that there was toys and playing cards.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It has everything you need. There was enough towels, soap, detergent, a lot of dishes. Very close to the city center and the beach. The host was very friendly and ready to give us many recommendation about Tarragona sightseeing and restaurants. He was very responsive to our messages and clear, which made communication easy. When we asked for more towels he was happy to provide it to us.

The location was good, with walking distance to the old town, La Rambla and the beach. The hotel has a pool and sun-beds to be enjoyed by everyone. The breakfast was okey but I was missing vegetables. No Spanish specialists, except tortilla.
