Located in the Sierra Nevada Nature Reserve, La Fragua II features an outdoor pool with stunning views over the surrounding mountains. It offers a restaurant and free Wi-Fi zone. I like literally everything, I would like to go back one day. The view, the pool, the location...
Located in Trevélez and with Mulhacen Mountain reachable within 25 miles, Hotel Rural Pepe Alvarez has a bar, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfast, located on the square close to stores and restaurants. Very good value for the price!
Located in Sierra Nevada Natural Park, 7 hours walk from Mulhacen Mountain, Refugio Alpujarra Alta features a sun terrace with mountain views and free WiFi. Not one to leave reviews, but when a place is this amazing it’s deserving of one. Nothing but great things to say. The entire place was extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with homemade jams, and yogurt. And the beds and common areas were just plain comfortable. Not to mention the couple who run it were always around to help and were genuinely happy to do so. If you’re planning on being in Trevélez, this is the place!
La Abuela Mercedes is a country house with a balcony, located in Trevélez, 4.3 mi from Mulhacen Mountain. An old traditional house in a very quite and traditional neighborhood. Renovation to bring the place to modern standard living did not modify its character at all. Very clean everywhere. Very well equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms so for two couples or a family of four it is a real bargain. We were only the two of us but we enjoyed very much our two days stay and felt it was worth the money. The whole village is lovely with many hiking opportunities around it.
Located in Trévelez outskirts, Apartamentos Balcon del Cielo offers an outdoor pool. The property is set in Sierra Nevada Natural Reserve. The accommodations features a seating area, TV and fireplace.... The view was superb, the stars brighter than I have ever seen, and Pilar took care of our every need.
Offering a beautiful view over mountains, La Casa de la Bombilla Verde is located in the ancient city center of Treveléz, in the National Park of Sierra Nevada. Restaurants are 984 feet away. So much character. We sat outside on the little stone bench by the door, just by the old water pumps where locals watered their horses, and felt like we'd stepped back a century. Wonderful. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and quiet at night. The last bit of road would be hard to drive, (steep and narrow) but we just parked at the large carpark in the main part of the village, and walked up. Just a 10-minute walk uphill, so no problems there. Very old place, but with all the mod-cons (decent shower, hot water etc). Very good value for money and we were made to feel very welcome.
Set within the Sierra Nevada National Park, Casa-Huerto La Juana is located in the charming village of Trevélez. The rustic-style country house offers views of the mountains and the River Chico. Great house tucked away at the top of the village. Amazing views, great garden with a BBQ, well equipped kitchen, good bathrooms with very powerful showers, comfy beds.
Set in Trevélez, in the Sierra Nevada National Park, Casa Rosa has a balcony with lovely views of the surrounding mountains. The apartment has free Wi-Fi. Spacious comfortable apartment, with a good view from the balcony. Lovely village with excellent walks around. Friendly staff. We came to Trevelez to be able to walk in the cooler mountain air, and managed 2 good long walks that we wouldn't have been able to do at a lower altitude.
Located in Trevélez and with Mulhacen Mountain reachable within 25 miles, Hostal Mulhacen has express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Great location for hiking in the nearby mountains. The restaurant next door is awesome & you won’t have to walk far for jamón & vino. Spotlessly clean and warm.
Trevélez is a picturesque town high in the Sierra Nevada. The mountains are dry, so the air is right for drying ham. There's ham everywhere in this town. Several trails pass through the town, so check out the hiker's guides to set yourself up for good walks. We enjoyed walking up the river for a few hours and made the best photos of our two weeks in Spain. Driving up to Trevélez is a bit tiring. The road is curvy and we averaged about 25kph. There's a bus that goes to town and other friends took it and said it was an enjoyable way to travel. If you take a car, park in the lots and carry your bag to the hotel. Don't try to negotiate the narrow, old vias. They get narrow at the wrong time. The hotel told us to park in the lot. I should have listened. We had some medical issues and there's a clinic and a pharmacy. The pharmacist was kind and knowledgeable. We went back to the hospital in Granada for medical care so we can't comment on the urgent care clinic, but our hotel staff knew all the hours and staffing of the clinic, so it seems that they are consistent and quality.

We made a mistake while booking but the hotel owners were kind enough to change it on the spot—saving our trip in the process. Also, on Christmas Eve, when everything was closed, they helped us out by lending us their oven, two chairs and a table so that we could enjoy our last minute frozen pizza diner in our room! On top of that, they simply gave us a better room, because it was Christmas. Amazing people, would definitely go again!

Miriam is a really nice and welcoming host. She gave me lots of good advices for my hike (Trevélez-Refugio Poqueira-Mulhacén-Siete Lagunas-Trevélez) and on where to eat in Trevélez. The homemade jam you get for breakfast is really yummy and made with love. The hostel is very clean and in a perfect location. If I ever should come back to Trevélez I definitely gonna stay here again.

Hotel is well maintained with a nice pool area. It sits just at the edge of the town so it is easy to walk in the hills. Staff were EXCELLENT. Enjoyed the terrace off the room and enjoyed a G&T there!! Good water pressure in the shower. We had dinner at the restaurant of the sister hotel and it was one of the best meals we had.

This was such good value for money! La Fragua is set in a beautiful small town. The hotel is small, rooms also, but great facilities and small balcony. Staff were great (thank you Emma, you were really helpful in finding my way!). The small square a short distance has supermarket, a great bakery, and bars.

A very typical and comfortable apartment in an Alpujarras-style house in the upper Trevelez barrio. Very personalized welcome letter with detailed instructions from Philippe, the owner, and great welcome from Maria on site. Perfect for discovering the Alpujarras region and/or for a hiking trip.
