On the Camino Francés this was my favorite place to stay! Why? Every night you stay with pilgrims, snore with pilgrims, shower with pilgrims, eat with pilgrims, clean the shared kitchen with pilgrims, etc. The hostel in the town was full so I spent a night at "the truck stop" instead and it was heaven! The private room was so clean with no snoring, the private shower was so clean with no line, and the best part = the restaurant downstairs is 24/7 with delicious and affordable food. I had croquettas, eggs with fries, torrejas, and they made me a huge sandwich to go the next day. I was so sad to leave and if you get to stay here, consider yourself lucky!

Hosts were gracious and flexible. I’m sure the property has an interesting history and appeared to be lovingly restored/decorated. I loved the rustic feel, the smell of wood burning and the garden patio. The food prepared and presented by the owners was the best we’ve had in Spain, coupled with a good local wine. Breakfast was tasty too.

A recently renovated guest house, Hostal San Juan offers accommodation in Sahagún. The air-conditioned accommodations are 20 miles from Villa Romana La Olmeda.

La Botica Del Monasterio is a formidable apartment in Sahagun close to the village main square and even closer of its great monastery and ruins, as well as close of the best restaurants of Sahagun. The stuff was very helpful, supporting us even out of the check in hours. Great option for groups of pilgrims who want a private stay.

This was a very cozy stay, not far from downtown! Apartment is older but well maintained, had quite a cozy charm. Host was very responsive and friendly. If you’re doing the Camino, ideal place to split between 2-4 people, unless you just want the whole place to yourself like me :D

outstanding in every way. A beautiful home in a lovely village and the local restaurant was fabulous. Maria and all of the people I contacted (!) were so helpful. The house was spotless and so comfortable. Such a special place we absolutely loved it.
