Nice location, clean and comfortable rooms with good bathrooms, super helpful staff, great value for money

We just checked out and honestly it already feels like we left a little piece of our hearts behind. The setting is just stunning. Waking up in the morning, opening the curtains and seeing snow and pine trees right there in front of you… it’s the kind of thing you see in pictures and think “that can’t be real.” But it is. We spent so many quiet moments just sitting by the window with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, watching the forest. Magical is the only word for it. But what really makes this place special is Katja and Antti. These two could not be more welcoming if they tried. It never once felt like we were guests at a hotel. It felt like we were staying with old friends who genuinely wanted us to feel at home. Chatting with them over breakfast or lunch was one of our favourite parts of the day. And speaking of food… wow. It was so good that no matter where we went exploring in the mornings, we always came back for lunch. Every single day. That says it all really. Oh, and Rocky the dog. What a bonus he is. We are already talking about coming back this summer and again in autumn. Honestly, a full and wholehearted recommendation from both of us. Just go.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Excellent choices at breakfast buffet including warm dishes, very tasty Lapland dinner buffet on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; very friendly and helpful staff creating a family atmosphere in the hotel; sauna available in the hotel; very good location for cross country skiing trails, which are located just opposite to the hotel, though it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the main village on foot

The location is right next to the ski resort, superior room was lovely and clean. Food very nice in the restaurant.

Hotel Arctic Zone was perfect! The personal was friendly and always ready to help us with any problem. Since it is located right in the center it was easy to reach any facility in Ruka. We recommend it to everyone how is looking for a nice and peacful place to stay in!

Staff was super friendly, especially Laura who gave us recommendations for sights and restaurants and also wine and food in the restaurant. Due to our slightly complicated booming setup, 3 different bookings over a week, we thought we were gonna have to move around, but the blond guy in receptions sorted us out so we had 1 room for the whole time. Food in restaurant was excellent, especially the peppered reindeer steak. The Sauna was fantastic as well, and a proper ice pool to dip in! Crazy good Showers.
