We got upgraded as we were the only tourists at that time of the year, which was very nice. The cottage was very comfy and clean. Views are amazing and the location is very quiet. The owner is adorable.

Wonderful hostess. Unique and special home, spacious and clean, with an interesting history. Substantial breakfast. Comfortable bed. Common room kitchen perfect for cooking meals.

Could not fault this stay at all! We did a lot of research of cabins/igloos in the area and this came out top for the price, location and the fact you get a private bathroom. Everything felt brand new, the underfloor heating in the bathroom was so cosy and we never felt cold at all. The breakfast was delivered to our cabin every morning and was plenty selection of yoghurt, pastries, juice, fruit and sandwiches. The check in and checkout was seamless with us arriving at 9pm and got straight to our chalet with a code to the door meant no need for a key. We had a tv in the room with YouTube and Netflix and the wifi was speedy and easy to connect to. I would highly recommend hiring a car if you’re going to stay here as it’s quite remote and the public transport is not very accessible so you would have to rely on taxi’s. But the car park is free and the drive from Rovaniemi and the airport is very easy. The perks of it being remote meant there is no light pollution and the main lights outside are turned off at 9pm meaning it’s even better conditions for viewing the northern lights. We were soooo lucky to see the aurora on our last night from our bed!!! It was absolutely amazing and it paid off not paying for a tour to be out in the cold all night trying to chase them, when we could see them in our pj’s from the warm bed. I’ve already recommended this stay to family and friends as it was a highlight of an already very memorable trip. 10/10 perfect stay.

Very nice place! 15 min away from Rovaniemi, the host are kind and considerate and the place is clean and well taken cared of. We fed the reindeers, the kids played in the snow-there is also small toboggan place and we were lucky enough to enjoy the Aurora from the warmth of our bed! Lovely experience! Thank you

The resort is absolutely magical and exactly what I envisioned when booking our trip. The staff were amazing and even helped us with a transfer from the postmaster hotel to our cabin ! So great. The cabins are modern, cosy and stylish. We had a great time celebrating a 30th Birthday! Thanks

Absolutely divine! This hotel is beyond words. Located on a private island, it created a perfect winter wonderland (we stayed in February) with a calm, pristine, and unique landscape by the frozen river. The staff were incredible—even before our arrival, they helped us book activities, making the experience completely hassle-free. The food was a true culinary experience—the bespoke three-course menu was absolutely marvelous, and breakfast offered a vast selection, including homemade vegan options. We probably ate the best bread of our lives here! Our stay was simply perfect. Plus, the hotel is being renovated to become an adults-only retreat, and we can’t wait to visit again in summer!

We had our Christmas party in this hotel it was amazing from start to finish. Would really recommend this hotel. It was only a short walk to the city centre . All the staff were very friendly and so helpful 😊

A splendid dinner with view on a winter wonder land snow landscape, falling asleep with the northern lights seen (there is even an app to warn you when they are out!), waking up "in the middle" of the snow landscape from a warm bed, great omelet breakfast,... Yes, this is a great place to experience the north of Finland, from a "glass igloo".
