I had not requested any consideration for mobility issues in advance, but when I advised the check in staff member of my husband's mobility issues, she immediately arranged to provide us a room on the ground floor. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with all kinds of options. Dinner was excellent as well. The staff were, without exception, attentive and helpful.

We enjoyed a Finnish Sauna by the river, wondering around the large grounds - just a beautiful place to relax. We had been traveling for 5 weeks with another 4 to go, and the serenity of this place allowed us to reset and feel refreshed. Most of all, we enjoyed sitting down with the hosts and talking about the Finnish lifestyle and traditions, our lives, and how similar they are even though we live on the opposite side of the world.

More a motel than a hotel but I loved it - it felt like travelling thru the USA again :-) But more seriously: quite a big room with a micro kitchen and a bathroom, very comfortable beds, everything very clean, the area around super silent, parking big enough to contain several trucks. Last but not least, the lady who let us in was super friendly. Thank you :-)

- the location is amazing, at the top of the hill surrounded by snowy trees and a frozen lanscape
- the Luxury Birdhouse is so beautiful and spacious, and the private hot tub is a very nice touch in freezing temperatures
- the staff were very friendly and accomodating, I appreciated their flexibility since I had some dietary requests and they fulfilled all of them
- the food is delicious, the Giant Soup is probably the best soup we've eaten and the veggie meal I ate for New Year's was fantastic
- snowshoes and sleighs are free of charge and there are very beautiful trails around
- although it's situated in an isolated area, you can find two well stocked supermarkets, a pharmacy and other basic facilities at about 20 min drive

Nice place with comfy house, quiet surrounding, perfect for nature lovers. You can listen to birds and silence. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking, coffee machine, kettle, cook top, microwave. You can sit outside and enjoy dinner or morning coffee. Sauna was perfect.
