The hotel is beautiful, stylish (it's a boutique hotel) and the breakfast! I can say it was the best of the whole trip, it's just fantastic! Not only visually wonderful, it's full of options and has just about everything! We loved it! The bed is super comfy, the room has a good size and is very well furnished and lit. The hotel has a restaurant and the food is excellent! And the window opens, even just a little , which is an important point for us, because we need a cool room to sleep and It's not often that the room temperature is cool enough for us to sleep in. The hotel has a very good location in Rovaniemi if you don’t want to drive, and has parking lot as well.

One of the best hotels in northern Finland. Location, service at reception, very delicious breakfast, super professional and friendly stuff. Rooms are big and warm. Very good vibe at this hotel and amazing Panorama sauna. The breakfast is 11 out of 10 We would like to visit you again next winter and keep same services. You are the best up there. The live egg counter was good and the blue berry powder in the breakfast service. Unfortunately for dinner service they has a vegetarian lasagne which they only had served 1 dish for and which finished and that was there only main dish. So a lot of people like myself were very dissapointed with not serving enough food and only having 1 main dish.

Everything exceeded our expectations completely! Such friendly staff, Roku (apologies for the spelling) went completely out of his way to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we were well looked after. Nothing was too much to ask for. The breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious and we really appreciated having the main course served as à la carte. As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, the staff were kind enough to always offer a new mocktail every day. The rooms were brand new which adds to the cleanliness and the under floor heating was a game changer in the -14 weather. We had noodles and hot chocolates which could easily be made in the room with the kitchenette facilities. Catching the northern lights whilst in our private hot tub or lying in bed is an experience that will never be forgotten! We honestly cannot fault this place, and I highly highly recommend staying.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We chose a place to stay further away from the city center, looking for a remote and quiet place away from the tourist crowds, but with the convenience of good service and a restaurant. The host is an awesome guy who cares a lot about his customers, and his little dog, Onni, is a real sweetheart. The place is like old time Lapland accomodation. The atmosphere is very calming, silent and homelike. Food is exceptional here and local products are used to prepare them. We got to also witness the Auroras with a small surprize from our host. That night was amazing. A place worth of another visit for sure. Sincerely, J & J

A magical stay at Arctic TreeHouse Hotel – simply unforgettable Staying at the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel felt like stepping into a winter dream. The moment you enter your glass-fronted suite, you’re met with a breathtaking panorama of the Arctic forest—calm, silent, and glowing under the soft Lapland light. Waking up to snowfall through the floor-to-ceiling window is an experience I’ll never forget. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and beautifully designed: natural wood, soft textures, and that perfect Scandinavian coziness. Every detail is thoughtful, from the heated floors to the little touches that make you feel at home in the middle of the Arctic. The staff were exceptional—kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your stay special. Whether helping with activities, giving recommendations, or arranging transfers, their hospitality made all the difference. The breakfast at Restaurant Rakas was another highlight: local flavors, fresh ingredients, and the perfect start to a day of Arctic adventures. Arctic TreeHouse Hotel is more than a place to stay—it’s an experience. A blend of design, comfort, and nature that leaves you inspired. If you’re visiting Rovaniemi, this is where magic truly happens.

I love that the property is in it’s authentic form. reminding me of my stay at the Twin Peaks hotel near Seattle, next to the most beautiful nature trails. Rooms are very classic and just perfectly basic for the location to be able to appreciate the magical location next to Taivaskero & Pallas trails that start from behind the hotel. Generally it is sad that in Lapland so many hotels modernize into generic glass buildings and hotels become same o same as anywhere in the world, but not this one. Lapland Hotel Pallas provides gourmet restaurant experience along with magnificent breakfast. We loved the 30+ reindeers that hang around the hotel too❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Original Sokos Vaakuna Rovaniemi. Everything was perfect — the breakfast, the room, and the location. The hotel was warm, comfortable, and spotless. They also paid special attention to our 5-year-old daughter and even left children’s juices for her, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at the Wilderness Hotel (Inari) and would highly recommend it, especially to solo female travelers. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. They were happy to share local insights, activity suggestions, and practical tips, which made my stay feel both easy and well-supported. The breakfast/dinner buffet was a real highlight, offering a generous selection of fresh, high-quality options in a relaxed and inviting setting. It was the perfect way to start/end the day. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, with a strong sense of calm and care throughout the property. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and at ease at all times — the atmosphere was welcoming without being intrusive, and the hotel struck a great balance between comfort and simplicity. The staff/guides (Mikko/Reeta/Inga/David/Sofia/Julia - to name a few) were all amazing ensuring everyone (especially for the activities) experienced their own level of satisfaction as a whole group, without compromising any one person's experience. They calmly and patiently answered questions and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a high quality experience. I was lucky enough to experience the Auroras two nights in a row during the Aurora Camp and Snowshoeing activities! Overall, a lovely experience with attentive service, excellent amenities, and well maintained environment - I'm planning to come back during the summer!

The ski resort was very nice. Also, Amethyst mine was great to visit. I recommend to everyone! My norther lights hunting was not successful because of the weather, but I will try again. If I had more time, I would love to cross country skiing and visit the national park nearby. I wish I could try to eat more local food from Lapland. Oh well, next time :)

Enontekiö is a large area in north east Finland, and it is mostly void of people, which is excellent. There are a few villages, like Hetta, commonly called Enontekiö, where you can find everything you need. Enontekiö boasts many of the most dramatic sceneries in Finland, like Saana and Halti fells, in the 'arm' (Käsivarsi), and palsasuot (permafrost-hill mires). It's excellent for hiking, berry- and mushroom-picking, and visiting one or more of the many national parks and Sami sacred places at hand. In Hetta, we stayed at Ounasloma for the 4th time. It is a family-owned holiday cottage business, which provides actual fully-furnished houses with sauna, and the lakeshore is just next door, boats and bikes are at disposal. We had our own food, but one evening we grabbed burgers and chips from the local grillikiosi (opposite k supermarket and alko), and not only was the lady very friendly, but the kioski sells bare necessities and the burgers are huge and excellent. I only wait to go back, discover more of the nature around, and maybe finally climb the Saana fell, which was foggy (and therefore very dangerous) when we were there.
