The facilities are amazing, a good combination of great design and comfort. The hot tub is a great touch and the windows give the room a fantastic view. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and abundant. Special thanks to Tobias and Rico who made the stay 10x better. It was a whole different experience! The view from the igloo was amazing and having a sauna two steps away just for yourself was a bliss. Also the experience of taking a shower in the sauna was pretty interesting and unusual. The chef of the restaurant is cooking your meal in front of you and that was just one more amazing experience.

This is probably, the nicest, most unique stay that I have ever had. The setting of the igloos is breathtaking, the actual igloos are so comfortable and well appointed. There is nothing to describe lying in a cosy bed looking at the stars, or opening your eyes to an orange glow across a frosty lake. Breakfast was brilliant, so much choice, although I did discover that seems to be standard in Finland. It is a beautiful, peaceful and calming environment. Oh and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.

Absolutely fantastic! Worth every single euro spent. The igloo is luxurious and cozy, amenities are great, the location is beautiful. We saw the most amazing display of the northern lights/aurora from our bed, it could not have been more magical! Honestly though, even if we hadn’t seen the aurora it would still have been incredible. Highly recommend, it’s a once in a lifetime experience! Also, the breakfast is sooooo good!

Great food at Restaurant 21.

Great food at Restaurant 21. At the time I visted in May, most tourist attractions were closed. If you don't know how to pay for parking and leave your car for 15 minutes you will get a ticket. I kind of regret visiting Rovaniemi, except for Restaurant 21, which has excellent food at reasonable prices.

I had a wonderful stay at the Wilderness Hotel (Inari) and would highly recommend it, especially to solo female travelers. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. They were happy to share local insights, activity suggestions, and practical tips, which made my stay feel both easy and well-supported. The breakfast/dinner buffet was a real highlight, offering a generous selection of fresh, high-quality options in a relaxed and inviting setting. It was the perfect way to start/end the day. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, with a strong sense of calm and care throughout the property. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and at ease at all times — the atmosphere was welcoming without being intrusive, and the hotel struck a great balance between comfort and simplicity. The staff/guides (Mikko/Reeta/Inga/David/Sofia/Julia - to name a few) were all amazing ensuring everyone (especially for the activities) experienced their own level of satisfaction as a whole group, without compromising any one person's experience. They calmly and patiently answered questions and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a high quality experience. I was lucky enough to experience the Auroras two nights in a row during the Aurora Camp and Snowshoeing activities! Overall, a lovely experience with attentive service, excellent amenities, and well maintained environment - I'm planning to come back during the summer!

Travelled from Skjervøy in Norway for 2 nights to travel to the three countries cairn, before a drive to Tromsø. The supermarket is very well stocked with a sports shop and state run alcohol shop next to it with a few restaurants. The trip was amazing. Loved the experience

We had long sunny days but lots of snow (if mushy). The scenery is spectacular and the town is functional - not touristy or tacky. Lots of local skiers. We stayed for 6 days and did almost every activity but wished we could stay longer and enjoy more hikes

In late January, it was the silence that made an impression. Little traffic on the road and respectful drivers towards pedestrians. Beautiful walks in the snow on the coast a short distance from town. Helpful people.

Levi is great! So many things to do.

Levi is great! So many things to do. We really enjoyed the skiing, great place to learn in a really chilled, safe environment. There are some fabulous restaurants but expect to pay. Will definitely be returning!

Nice small village. If you visit this village, you must visit the Salla Museum. Such a small and nice place. Also the entire area is excellent for walking, breathing fresh air, do a lot of activities.

There are a few villages, like Hetta, commonly called Enontekiö, where you can find everything you need. Enontekiö boasts many of the most dramatic sceneries in Finland, like Saana and Halti fells, in the 'arm' (Käsivarsi), and palsasuot (permafrost-hill mires). It's excellent for hiking, berry- and mushroom-picking, and visiting one or more of the many national parks and Sami sacred places at hand. In Hetta, we stayed at Ounasloma for the 4th time. It is a family-owned holiday cottage business, which provides actual fully-furnished houses with sauna, and the lakeshore is just next door, boats and bikes are at disposal. We had our own food, but one evening we grabbed burgers and chips from the local grillikiosi (opposite k supermarket and alko), and not only was the lady very friendly, but the kioski sells bare necessities and the burgers are huge and excellent. I only wait to go back, discover more of the nature around, and maybe finally climb the Saana fell, which was foggy (and therefore very dangerous) when we were there.

Ivalo was absolutely beautiful , it is a small town but the experiences you may want to do are on the doorstep . This is a quieter peaceful Lapland resort which is ideal for adults wanting a peaceful retreat.If you have young children you may prefer Rovaniemi.
