Unique location, just outside the center of Helsinki, at the edge of a small peninsula that juts out into a maze of water and forested islands, this hotel manages to balance tranquility, with gastronomy, architecture and nature. I’ve stayed in many many hotels, but nothing like this - it may have been one of the best allround experiences ever. The building is well-preserved 70s architecture; long lines, oak wood and brushed concrete slabs. Rooms are spacious and bright and were updated quite recently. Bathrooms are clean and well-organized; excellent water pressure. Spotless maintenance. Service is professional and kind; open to requests and suggestions. There’s a decently-sized indoor pool, suitable for those wanting to get some laps in at the start of the day. A pier juts out into the water, allowing a courtside seat for summery sunsets. I didn’t use the sauna but, hey, this is Finland, I’m sure it will be on par. They host weddings in a dedicated space next to the restaurant, but the layout is such that there is actually no noise coming from that at all. Parking is amply available and there is a convenient connections to public transport nearby (public bikes for 10 euros per week and a subway station at 10 minutes walking. Time to central Helsinki is probably 20-25 mins. The natural surroundings are unforgettable; spruces dot the coastline, mossy big boulders here and there, as if dropped by giants. Terns and cormorants patrolling the shallows. If your aim is to relax with quiet and lovely views, come here. Lastly the food: the hotel harbours a professional restaurant, Platz, which serves a buffet breakfast featuring hot and cold options, various juices and a large terrace. They also offer very good dining in the late afternoon and evenings; properly delicious local menu options, combined with super friendly service. For those seeking gluten-free, this restaurant has no issues with that at all.

For tourist a bit on the outskirts, but for me just perfect, I worked in one of the office bulidings just facing the hotel. Very good public transport links. So no worries even for tourists. Big plus a supermarket just next door. I liked how the breakfast was solved, really no or minial waste with ordering the meals as much as you wanted from a well-considered menu. The double bed was convenient for me, but with maybe not that much for a couple.

Buffet Breakfast was okay, staff was amazing and it's a great stay if you're going skiing or to the water park. The hotel is old but it doesn't feel dated, it feels vintage, it feels like new from the 80's. Gym is very 80's, i feel like Schwarzenegger when working out. The sauna was pretty nice, the rooms were comfortable. Great hiking trail around the hotel with a beautiful lake and wonderful greenery. The dinner at the restaurant was very tasty, the soup was amazing.

Go south to see the magnificent sea, there is a magnificent 20 km Rantaraitti road by the sea. You can walk, run and cycle there. The road is illuminated and really safe to move around, because the richest residents of Finland live next to the road. For example, the directors of listed companies with their families and residents of embassies. I have also lived there myself. The Helsinki metro runs through Espoo, and bus services are also very good. Tapiola is the cultural centre of Espoo, e.g. theatre, music. Also EMMA Museum of Modern Art. Sello in Leppävaara and Iso Omena in Matinkylä are great shopping centres.

We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in...

We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in Helsinki. It was the best way of enjoying the snow (being Irish it is a novelty )and enjoying the peaceful forest surrounding the hotel. It was a great start to our christmas break before going into the city. It was magical and I did a morning hike around the grounds of the hotel. My sons and I loved it.

Espoo is the most prosperous and safest area in Finland. The reason for that is that 40% of Espoo's population has a university degree. The best area of the city is by the sea in the middle of nature.

Espoo is good as a gateway to Helsinki, as it doesn't offer much as a city itself. It's a very spread-out city, requiring a car to get around. However, its best features are its good shopping centers, its proximity to Helsinki by bus or metro, and its proximity to national parks.

I liked spacy bathroom with the option of dimmed light, I liked big comfortable bed and the fact that I had two warm blankets in my disposal. I also like the idea of a fabric bag to borrow from the suit. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes by metro from the Central Railway station in Helsinki, just remember to take exit G at Keilaniemi station. There is also social space in the hotel if you need privacy for a business meeting after checkout or before checkin.

We chose this apartment as its location met our needs. I have family living in Finland, and this was the nearest place. The hosts were very proactive and sent very clear instructions for getting in. We loved the modern look and big windows. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean . We will surely return.

My favourite place to stay when in Espoo. The location could not be any better. Anything you need is right at your doorstep and the metro is conveniently right next to the hotel. The rooms are always so clean and well equipped. The buffet breakfast is something to look forward to.

Great out of town base for visiting Helsinki and the local area. The hotel itself is well equipped with everything that you may need. Lovely and quiet with a great car museum only 500meters away (and golf course, if you are into that sort of thing).
