Our stay at Hotel Uitonniemi was nothing short of magical! The host, Maija was absolutely exceptional, going far beyond standard service to make our visit unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it truly special. One of the highlights was that we could use sleds for our son during the entire stay, which added so much fun to our trip. On the last day, the "Elves" surprised him with a personalized gift, which left him overjoyed and made our family’s experience even more memorable. Breakfast was great with something new each day. Maija even adjusted the breakfast timing to fit our daily plans, which was super helpful. The rooms were warm, clean, and had a lovely wooden finish that made them feel so cozy. Our entire family felt so at home here, and we hope we get a chance to visit this wonderful place again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, family-friendly stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Kemijärvi! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean and well-maintained the entire hotel was. His politeness and helpful nature stood out immediately. He went above and beyond, answering all our questions with patience and ensuring we felt at home. Staff was super friendly and lovely, helping out at the beginning when I had problem with my card payment and stressed out, receptionist offered us with coffee as a finnish way of hospitability and keeping us calm during that moment. Food was great, rich breakfast, we also payed extra for lunch menu, which was also delicious, cook also answered our questions about meals as we were very interested. We also enjoyed sauna!

I had a really pleasant stay at Academy Hotel Kemijärvi. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’m not sure there’s enough to space to properly express how much we loved Jauri Resort. From the moment we arrived (and found out they had upgraded us for our 11 night stay) we were in love. Firstly, the staff was very communicative even before we arrived. We had to arrange a late check in, which was no problem at all. Once we were settled in to our beautiful cabin we realized Jauri is the best of both worlds. If you’re a traveller who prefers a self-sufficient Airbnb style place - this can be it. You have a kitchen and a private sauna and everything you need for an independent holiday. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked, it’s the perfect little apartment. However, if having a convenient restaurant steps from your door is something you want, they have that too. We enjoyed every meal we ate there. The staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful and will organize anything you need. Tours can be started from your front door. We happened to stay during a cold snap (sub -35°) and after our little hybrid rental car decided to freeze up the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. They organized a late check out and helped us find the easiest way to the airport. And all of this while being so lovely and friendly. My reviews seldom run this long, but in this case it is necessary. Both my husband and I can 100%, whole heartedly recommend Jauri Resort. We’re already trying to decide when to come visit again. Great location near the lake with beautiful views. Good choice if you want some privacy to enjoy the nature. Holiday home is very well equipped, there is everything you could possibly need. Sauna and fireplace is nice bonus. We had magical time.

We loved the location right by the lake, especially with the outdoor fire where you can cook your meals and enjoy breakfast in the morning. Everything was spotless. The host was also very kind, when we asked, he gladly washed the clothes we had from our trekking trip.

The house is fully consistent with the description on the website. On the day of arrival there were severe frosts somewhere around 30, but the house was warm, so to speak, we were greeted warmly.))) And also beautiful nature, the house is located on the shore of a large lake. I plan to come there in the summer to see the beauty of this place.
