The hotel was new, rooms and especially beds were extremely comfortable, breakfast was great and we had dinner one night and it was good and at a reasonable price. Sauna available for guests (for free). Driving to the national park is only a couple of kilometres. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back!

The staff was friendly, helpful and we also got treats for our dog from staff. <3 The spa was great with nice views and hiking in Koli was accessible and pleasant. This is our third time in Koli. We love it! Our Airbnb accommodation got cancelled on the day we had to travel and we booked Lotus Cottages last minute! We were so lucky! The location is perfect 5 min drive from the ski slopes, nearest restaurant and shop but situated right next to the lake giving us the experience we were looking for. The staff is amazing. They made sure we had everything including bringing us wood to make sure we were warm enough! We rented two cottages next to each other as we were a large group. The cottages were very clean and had everything you need, two bedrooms, sauna, fire place and most importantly the beauty of the quietness that you can experience in Koli. the kids loved it, played outside, we did barbecue for a couple of nights as the weather was not too cold and there are fire huts that the guest can use. Simply fantastic!

We spent a few days at Koli Freetime and enjoyed every single moment. The location is so peaceful, the staff was very friendly. The cottage is perfect for a family of four. We also loved the small sauna cottage with access to the lake for ice bathing. The cross country track starts directly at the property. Temperatures were really low (-31 degrees Celsius in the morning) but the cottage was warm and cozy. Big thanks for providing providing country skis for our grandson free of charge.
We can absolutely recommend the place if you love the peacefulness of the Finnish nature.

Nice, beautiful location, great personnel, clean rooms. Everything was great!
When booking, I did not notice that economy apartments with 2 rooms does have a bathroom, but without a shower. There is a sauna building 100m away having a set of showers to be used for such accommodations. The host was so kind to find an option in the main building having a bathroom with the shower inside. That mentioned sauna is open for guests daily in the evening for free + there is an ice hole to swim after sauna 😁

Great cabin. The location is great, just a short drive from the main activities in Koli. The amenities are great - there’s enough space for a larger group and a pretty well equipped kitchen. The sauna and palju/”hottub” are nice and big enough for around five people at a time. We love this cabin and have spent new year here twice! Would highly recommend.

Very comfortable, superbly appointed, brilliant location. Hosts were very helpful and patiently assisted with date errors in my original booking ( booked for June dates instead of July to coincide with our trip from Australia 😣, didn’t realise until a couple of days before we were expected at Pielislinna )

Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years...
Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years of erosion during the Ice Age, so the trails and hills are covered with large and small rocks. There are rich landscape changes during the journey. In autumn, the leaves are dyed red, yellow and orange. With a variety of colorful scenes, Koli National Park is a great place to enjoy autumn scenery. Climbing up the hills, you will see a 180-degree view of the lake unfolding in front of you, and you will be shocked by the magnificent scenery - and the trails are also very beautiful. The signs are very clear, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost if you’re walking alone.

There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village,...
There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village, plus also another hotel on the top of the hill "Koli". Neart he village also "Räsävaara" observation tower allowing good views to the forest landscape and lake. Also the new hotel in the Kolinkylä village is easy to see from observation tower. You need a car to get around.

It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking...
It's a small but cute little place with excellent hiking options. Few other locations along with Koli are close by in case you wish to see more. Very easy to get to see the Akka-, Ukko- and Paha-Koli and enjoy the view to lake Pielinen. I recommend to drive also to the harbour and see lake Pielinen also from the shore.
