This place is probably the best place we stayed in Finland. Absolutely fabulous. It has a small kota fireplace outside overlooking the lake where you can wait for the northern lights, a sauna for when you come back in from the cold. An indoor log fire. The kitchen amenities are wonderful with dishwasher and all the mod cons. There is a car port with snowshoes inside and more firewood. Luxury villa. Plus we seen the northern lights 2 times out of 3 nights. Outside decking area too for outdoor dining if warm enough! Keybox entry with code provided for self check in. Host was also very comminicative. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very convenient for accessing the slopes and nearby facilities. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The sauna was a real highlight, easy to use and perfect after a day in the snow. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient throughout. Highly recommended!

Nice and comfortable cabin with space enough just for 2 persons.
Beautiful holiday village in the middle of the forest with access to the lake.
We were worried about the sleeping arrangement as the cabin does not have a separate bedroom but the couch can be extended into large bed (and it seems to be a new one).
Everything you need is there, all the essentials.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff was extremely kind. Our flight got delayed and we were allowed to use the hotel’s sauna and other facilities and it made our traveling day way more enjoyable.

High end cosy cottage in the middle of the beautiful nature but nearby all services. Good setup; 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms, rest shared, even 2 saunas.

Lovely place for skiing and snowboarding as well as other activities such as snow mobiles, husky farms, lake dips and saunas. Expensive but lovely.
Ruka coaster was a great addition for this years trip but te queue was VERY long and slow.

A great place for skiers of all levels.
A great place for skiers of all levels. Ski hire and ski school were easy to book - Ruka Valley side is more convenient for this. Ruka Village side has more shops and restaurants. For those that don’t want to ski there’s also plenty of other activities in the surrounding areas including an afternoon visit to see Father Christmas.

The city is nestled amidst stunning natural beauty, with forests and lakes. It's perfectly organized for skiers, with bus stops, parking lots, hotels, and restaurants located very close to the ski lifts. Public transportation is excellent, with ski buses running hourly and always on time.
