And additionally, the hotel itself is in an absolutely sere location, by a lake and fairly central to all the key national parks around. We couldn't have made a better choice.

Hotel Arctic Zone was perfect! The personal was friendly and always ready to help us with any problem. Since it is located right in the center it was easy to reach any facility in Ruka. We recommend it to everyone how is looking for a nice and peacful place to stay in!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Saaruakuja Lodge and can't wait to return! The property exceeded all of our expectations. It was spotless and had every facility you could need. We particularly loved the drying cupboard for snowboards/boots etc, the sauna, dishwasher, coffee machine, log burner and washing machine. Not to mention the stacks of games, wood matches, candles and kitchen cupboard amenities that just made the trip so much easier and made the lodge feel instantly like home. The owner replied instantly to any query we had during the trip and made the arrival/departure process seamless. It was just the two of us staying in the 3 bed lodge but it didn't feel at all excessive as we just didn't use the upstairs bedrooms.

Beautiful location in the woods, close to Ruka village. There was a bus once an hour taking people to Ruka village and Ruka valley. The ride is free if you have skis or a ski pass. Great communication with the owner and an easy check in! We enjoyed our private sauna each day of our stay! Thank you! ❤️
