We just had an exceptional trip to this property. From the boat ride to reach the location, wood fired suana, in door fire place and bbq this place has it all. I would defenetily recommend this place.

We came in late winter/early spring looking for peace and transquility and this is what we found. The views on the frozen lake from the living room, rushing from sauna to lake to cool off, the quiet - it was overall a wonderful experience. The cottage is extremly well equiped (you could even bake a cake), very modern, and nice in scandinavian style. It is easy to reach by car even with snow and a bit of ice (for those concerned).

A nice room, calm with nature around. The room was basic, comfy beds, coffee/tea provided in the common kitchen. Easy free parking, no reservation needed. Keys are in a keybox and you can enter at any time during evening/night.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Wanha Pirtti. Mika and Leena were great hosts (thank you!), we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the atmosphere of the historic farm buildings, as well as the traditional sauna incl. a refreshing swim in the nearby river. Our kids loved picking tasty berries from the bushes, all the different games they could play (incl. darts, frisbee golf) as well as the different animals. We had booked breakfast for the day of our departure and it was amazing, gluten free options were available. We would rebook anytime and hope to return again, full recommendation from our end 👍

A very nice and quiet location. Himos, our main destination, is quite easily reachable if you have a car, otherwise might be tricky, not sure about public transport options there. The host is kind and helpful, check-in is quick and easy, and the apartment is roomy enough and comfortable for two people. The kitchen is well-equipped, we didn't miss anything. Wi-fi is really excellent. Bed linen and towels are provided free of extra charge, which is nice as it's not often so in the more remote areas in Finland. Would happily go back.
