Wonderful Aurora Suite. Own sauna on first level and jacuzzi outside the room on the (not heated) terrace. View down the hill/ ski slope was stunning. Went there at the end of November and had plenty of snow, albeit not as much as during the peak winter season. The room was spacious, modern and the terrace with the jacuzzi had a stunning view. Even though the terrace was not heated and we had about -8°C the jacuzzi managed to heat up to 40°C. The staff was helpful and lovely, the Hilltop restaurant was pricey but had very tasty food.

We visited the hotel for the first time after the major upgrades, and it felt like we had arrived at a completely different place than before. The new owners have done great work in a short time! Room was clean and beautifully decorated. Excellent beds and quietness ensured a great night’s sleep. Our under-one-year-old baby slept wonderfully in her own baby bed. The hotel is located on top of a fell and offers beautiful views into a national park. The Northern Lights could be seen through the large windows. The hotel restaurant serves an excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience!

Nice studio apartment close to hiking and skiing trails, well suited for a winter holiday. The place was clean and well equipped. I liked the fact that despite heavy snowfall during the night, by morning the owner had already taken care of the parking lot cleanup.

The place is just amazing, there are no other words for it. The accomodation is so beautifully decorated, it looked like a dream home. The kitchen was well equipped. The WiFi worked fast and well. The location is great: right outside of Syöte Nationalpark. The Sauna by the lake was the cherry on top!

Great place for winter activities and relaxing in a scenic...

Great place for winter activities and relaxing in a scenic fell & forest setting. Accommodation available from a hilltop hotel to housing options to varied taste & budget, even with great views and next to slopes or skiing/trekking tracks. Some nice options for eating out as well but not a place for party sharks. Local grocery stores small with limited options, more selection 30-45 min drive away. Car is a necessity when not staying in a hotel. If skiing is not enough try e-fatbike or a husky safari.

The paths in the national park was surprisingly quiet.

The paths in the national park was surprisingly quiet. Paths all around were well taken care of. The nature path at Pikku-Syöte had beautiful views. The restaurant Hilltop on top of Iso-Syöte had good food, nice views and friendly staff. They also had several vegetarian options, unlike other restaurants in the area. It was nice and easy to rent skis and sliding snow shoes. Paths were well stamped so it was also ok to walk without snow shoes.

This was the main aim of the trip. The log cabin was exceptional and very well equipped, warm, comfortable and a pleasant experience. The 'short' walk to the main hotel for breakfast etc on occasions did not feel that short! The breakfast buffet was good and covered all dietary requirements The Husky and Reindeer trips were exactly as expected and worth every penny The bus to the Market works well for a change of scene Reception staff were very helpful in changing transfers as we changed our return travel plans

The location was excellent. There was a ski resort near - so shops and restaurants were present. Also you could book some excursions from a nearby hotel. We saw northern lights twice right outside the cabin.
