Henry treated us feel like VIPs. He was professional and thoughtful. The room was comfortable and well furnished. Room service did a 👏 great job tidying up the room and gave fresh towels. The sauna was a fantastic, free service that we could use between 5pm to 10pm. Clean and well equipped with towels, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Center of town location and proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and shopping.

A nice host to this lovely cozy airbnb. You get a small appartment with a kitchen, bathroom, a living space and a bed. Bigger than expected. We could wash our clothes without charge and you can park on their terrain without cost. Overall pleasant and quiet stay.

Our Review of Vaasa We truly enjoyed our visit to Vaasa!

Our Review of Vaasa We truly enjoyed our visit to Vaasa! The city impressed us with its cozy atmosphere, beautiful seaside scenery, and peaceful Nordic charm. Clean streets, well-maintained parks, friendly people, and the proximity to the sea make Vaasa a wonderful destination for both a short getaway and a trip with friends. Which places did you like the most? Our favorite places were the beautiful Vaasa waterfront with its stunning sea views, the charming city center, and the famous Kvarken Archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We were especially impressed by the Replot Bridge and the Saltkaret Observation Tower, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Finland's unique coastal landscape. Where did you eat? We visited several cozy cafés and restaurants in the city center. We especially enjoyed the fresh fish dishes, traditional Finnish pastries, and excellent coffee. Everywhere we went, the food was delicious, the service was fast, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Is it easy to get around Vaasa? Yes, very easy. Vaasa is a compact city, and many attractions are within walking distance. The roads are well maintained, parking is convenient, the signage is clear, and the overall infrastructure is excellent. Getting around both by car and on foot is comfortable and stress-free. What activities would you recommend to other groups of friends? We highly recommend taking a walk along the waterfront, exploring the Kvarken Archipelago and the Replot Bridge, climbing the Saltkaret Observation Tower, having a picnic by the sea, tasting local Finnish cuisine, visiting the museums, and watching the sunset over the Gulf of Bothnia. Vaasa is an ideal destination for friends looking to relax, enjoy nature, take beautiful photos, and experience the unique atmosphere of western Finland. We will definitely come back again—Vaasa has left us with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return!

Vaasa is very beautiful!

Vaasa is very beautiful! Not only the city itself, but also its surroundings. It has a great network of bicycle lanes for walking and riding, but the most impressive is the Kvarken Archipelago. Consider renting a car and exploring it!

Vasa was fine.

Vasa was fine. I live in Umeå, so taking the ferry over was easy. I regret visiting in winter as it was quite boring. The city, however, is beautiful, and I enjoyed walking around and exploring. I would say the bus system is poor, as I had wanted to visit Vörå as well, however the buses to outside of the city did not run on Sundays. Most restaurants were closed on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday as well, which was a disappointment.

The town has interesting old buildings, and the seaside is open with parks all around. There are some good restaurants in the Rewell shopping mall. With buses it is easy to get to places slightly out of town. There are playgrounds in the middle of the city for kids and the main library has books in various languages for them to sit and read for awhile. We liked Edvin's Path, which you can get to on bus #15. However, if you want to see the Kvarken archipelago, wait until mid-June to visit Vaasa, otherwise there will be no boat tours.

Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka.

Good: Good shopping opportunities, especially at Kivihaka. I estimate the Swedish-speaking percentage of the residents at 75%, probably the highest in Finland by some margin. 24/7 kiosk at Shell Pitkäkatu. Generally nice-looking city. Tropiclandia was nice for a summer day. Less impressive: Getting to/from the ferry pier is chaotic (especially when the ferrytaxi driver didn't speak Swedish nor English). It was not easy to find any of the city's restaurants. Personal tip: I'd favour trying to figure out how to get from downtown to Kivihaka by bus next time, due to the overly snaking pavement paths between the two.

Nice and affordable place to stay in Vaasa. Room looked fresh. Bathroom was clean, beds were comfy. You can use a fridge in the hall (each room has their own locked cell in the fridge) and borrow plates and extra cups from small common kitchen. Breakfast was ok. Close to city centre, 15min walking.
