Just a day was enough for us to visit the mein sights of Suva and get a feel for this city . We visited the Suva market , the Royal Yacht Vlub , the Fiji Museum , the Grahd Pacific Hotel , Parliament House and the Library . Mostly by walking the streets and the sea wall and through public gardens although took a.taxi from yacht club to the museum ( cost FJD 7. ) We couldn’t find a tourist office or any guidance about what to see apart from using Google .

The weather is good.
The weather is good. I like visiting Damodar and like to dine at the Olive Tree restaurant. I spend 3 nights at Bidesi Apartments, 1 night at Penisula International Hotel and my final stay at Grand Pacific Hotel for 4 nights.

Certain parts of Suva are very dangerous, specially at night...
Certain parts of Suva are very dangerous, specially at night. Lot of robberies and assaults. The western part of Viti Levu is much safer and local citizen are ore friendlier.
Didn't feel safe even in daytime. Witnessed a robbery of a tourist from BC, Canada in Cummings street, Suva, in the middle of the day. No cops around.

It is disappointing to note that whilst all the planes into...
It is disappointing to note that whilst all the planes into Nadi were full, very few visitors were going to Suva or other towns. After speaking to the local hotels and shops from Nadi via Rakiraki to Suva, we understand that they don't have the visistors anymore due to the known criminal activities mainly in Suva. The business suffer, they release their staff then families suffer, after which crime rate increase in some cases as families try to feed their own.

Suva is my favourite city.
Suva is my favourite city. I visit Suva at least once every year. It’s a beautiful city with nice shopping facilities and delicious food. Suva market provides fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year. Most people are friendly, however, some pick pockets spoil the beautiful image of Suva city. Tourists need to be looked after well as their safety is important in order to generate higher economy for Fiji. Enforcing stronger laws should be better for everyone.I was born and bred in Fiji and I love to visit Fiji all the time. I received my tertiary education in Suva and plan to stay longer there after my retirement. The lovely Suva harbour views,the beautiful trees and gardens and flowers are very attractive to all the visitors I’m sure.

I lived in Suva for 14 years back in the 60's and it's, and it has not changed much, apart for a few larger modern buildings.
Great city to visit, but to do Fiji justice, visit the Vanua Levu and or Taveuini, or other islands.. to experience real Fiji culture.

Neighbourhood ok, possibility to get groceries in the area.
Rooms was one of the cheapest in Suva and that's what you get: not much of decoration but individual room with a fan, own bathroom and toilets, possibility to cook in the kitchen

Unbelievably Spacious room with cooking facilities. A bed that’s Super comfy I just melted into it and a breathtaking harbour view. Really enjoyed my stay. Thanks Capricorn Hotel Suva.
