As the only guest at this time of year, I didn't want the whole restaurant opening, heating etc. just for me and so I chose to take meals in my room. I was grateful of it because it meant that I didn't have to drive out to find a place to eat. I wasn't disappointed... The breakfast was marvelous. Plenty of choice and filling enough to see me right through the day. The evening meal was lovely too (fish and chips) and any extras that I asked for were supplied without hesitation. The studio had everything that I needed, including a constant supply of hot water, heating and a big comfy bed. My little dog Jack was warmly welcomed and made a new friend in 'Buddy' the labrador. The views and surrounding areas are stunning and the peace and quite was a real treat for the soul.. The whole experience was nothing short of perfect. Highly recommended. It was very beautiful and peaceful. The decor was very sympathetic to the history of the chateau and tastefully done. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. There was great ‘energy’ to the place.
