Fantastic beaches and way less crowded than other beaches nearby.. Huge variety on the beach from rock pools to sandy coves and shingle stretches.. Rive mouth adds more interest, local fisherman launch from here, divers hunt lobsters and mussels off the rocks..

We only had a one night stay over and would have loved to...

We only had a one night stay over and would have loved to stay longer at the properly to drive out and explore further afield from what we did on foot . There was a lovely weekend community event on with live music and fireworks on the beachfront -was a brilliant atmosphere .

Perfect spot to stay in order to hike the area close to II...

Perfect spot to stay in order to hike the area close to II WW bunkers/batteries remains, cliff area around Calais/Boulonge Sur Mer and explore the coastline of Cap Gris-Nez/Blanc-Nez. Absolutely beautiful and interesting. Beaches also nice, not crowded and water is a beauty. You can also windsurf, standup paddling and other water sports. From here you can also visit other nearby towns and do day hikes.

The location is ideal for staying near ferry and the tunnel. The lodge we were allocated was new, clean and we would stay again but the basics were missing towels and bedding which are stated in description as being provided. Camp site staff are super helpful and friendly. We loved Ambleteuse and had a lovely walk and drink by the sea. We would definitely stay again. I now see a lot of guests have commented on this after reading the reviews further. Please make your listing clear for guests so we know what we are getting.

Very large and pretty appartment, we loved the view and the big open kitchen. It is located close to the shore and there is enough parking around for cars of all sizes. Ambleteuse is charming but quiet, just how we like it. The check in was super easy.
