We stayed to go to a wedding near by. The place was immaculately clean, and in very good condition. We slept very well on a comfy bed, but it may be a little hard for some people, that's personal preference. The location was exceptionally quiet, and the hosts clearly made an effort to make no noise at any time to disturb us - their property is attached, but all of your garden and terrace space is completely private. The bathroom was excellent, with a great shower too. We were met with a friendly welcome. The host had made sure to leave a number of essentials in the kitchen, as well as some drinks and a cake in the fridge was was above and beyond. Property is easy to find. Just 10 mins lovely walk in to town for the boulangerie and bar and restuarants etc. And the whole area is great for a few kilometers of easy walking. We are already planning when we might come back. The photos don;t do the place justice, especially the outdoors space.

The room was lovely with lots of very personal touches hand made by the host. It was spotlessly clean with real attention to detail. A great breakfast was included with cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissant and bread and preserves. We loved our stay and hopefully will return.

The hosts are a delight. They were very kind welcoming and helpful and we had a lovely breakfast. They went out of their way to make sure we understood about the area and places to visit and helped us. Would highly recommend, the accommodation is immaculate.

Barbechat itself is an unremarkable place - just a very nice, clean, friendly and quiet village with a good shop close to the chambre-d'hôte. It was ideal for my purposes because close to a simple crossing of the Loire at Oudun.
