It was the perfect escape from the city - post covid nature retreat. The hotel is a step away from the most abundant forest. Great for walks, pic nic and climbing. The village is out of a picture book. In all the places that were open the hosts were extremely welcoming. The hotel is peaceful, inspiring and the gardens are such a treat to retreat to with a book or for a chat with one of the staff or resident artists. I can't wait to go back.

A B&B located a 35-minute drive from Orly Airport, La Bastide de Barbizon offers a garden, a terrace, soundproofed rooms, and Wi-Fi is free of charge in the entire property. the property and breakfast were both lovely, but the biggest highlight is the owners charming and welcoming attitude. Hat's off to Claire and Freddy, and their friendly pets Parker (dog) and cat. Barbizon itself is also sweet and charming and there are nice walks in the forest.

Very friendly host, flexible with regards to meeting us first day. Swift to answer my questions on chat. Came by to ask if everything was OK and if we needed anything. Facilities were as expected, large living room and spacious bedrooms. Had put up an extra bed, since we were 5, no questions asked. Heating was very good. Kitchen good for breakfast and lunch, covered our needs. Location 50 m from center of Barbizon with a few restaurants, baker and small groceries shop. Close to all bouldering sites in the Fontainebleau forests, which was our reason for the stay. The house was clean and neat, plenty of towels etc.
