Jon and Suzi went out of their way to make sure I had everything I could possibly need - including offering plant based (vegan) food, a great welcome and plenty of garden space for my dog. A beautiful pool and a whole variety of seats in sun and shade to enjoy the garden. A very comfortable room. G & T from the bar to enjoy in the garden. Lovely walks in the lanes nearby with lots of hollyhocks along the outside wall and along the lane. Very near to Ruffec and to the Charente river.

The property was every thing we needed. The fresh bread and treats delivered daily was a surprised but very gratefully received. When we arrived we were met by the owner who we realised was an ex neighbour when we lived into area. Spotlessly clean and a good parking area. I had a wonderful 4-night stay at this charming guest house. The setting is peaceful, the pool area is lovely, and the breakfasts were a real highlight – especially Laetitia’s homemade blueberry muffins! The hosts were warm and welcoming, even inviting me to join their family for dinner, which made the experience feel very personal and special. Despite the language barrier, we managed great conversations with the help of Google Translate, and I truly felt at home. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy authentic French hospitality. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect for us as it was half way on a long journey. The main communal area was a fabulous converted barn, with a bar, a stage for a band and 2 amazing chocolate labradors! The breakfast was excellent and grounds beautiful.
