I had a wonderful stay at Maison Bisca. The Hostel and especially the garden were wonderful. Lots of places to chill, quiet area, big terrace, a nice outdoor kitchen (grill and big plancha, a nice handmade chicken coop, trees and lot of other things. Mathieu, the host, created this all at his own with a lot of sweat, love and creativity. You can see that he loves what he’s doing. Very hospitable!!! The rooms were clean, the kitchen was big with everything you need. 10minutes walk to the beach. The other guests also were very friendly and nice!

- location is great, behind the dunes and close and easy walk to the beach - spacious 4 bedroom appartment, court yard with 2 umbrellas, good size table and chairs - outside architecture and exterior nicely done - parking was never a problem as for residence only - clean, washing machine, reasonable size fridge for 7 people - wheelchair friendly

A modern town of beach cottages about an hour outside...
A modern town of beach cottages about an hour outside Bordeaux. We found the beach to be wonderful, although this area is normally prone to windy and choppy conditions. Great for kite surfing. MY only disappointment was the lack of extensive hiking trails in the forest nearby. There were some good trails heading inland to Biscarosse-Lac, but most trails to the north or south are restricted for the military bases.

Parking difficult in town, did not see the beach. No restaurants for lunch near the hotel. Hotel was not open for lunch during our stay. Would not visit this town again. Not good for older people like us as any parking places found would involve a walk of some distance.

Lovely place, great beach, plenty of restaurants and shops. We were self catering but still enjoyed the patisseries, etc - easy to get around and bikes available to hire for those who'd like to cycle further afield. We took the car to the dune de Pilat which is well worth a visit and also the nearby lakes which are beautiful
