We arrived quite late and the proprietor very kindly got us the last table for dinner seemingly in the whole town. There is no restaurant in the property itself (although they do a decent breakfast) - there is a very pleasant bar with a very friendly mountain dog. The room itself was very clean and the furnishings comfortable and appropriate to the price.

I stayed at this hotel in Val Cenis over the Christmas break while on a snowboarding trip with a friend, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It’s a very friendly, family-run hotel, and everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating from start to finish. The room was spotless, with daily housekeeping, and felt modern and comfortable. We also had a beautiful balcony, which was a lovely bonus. Small touches really made the stay special — we were provided with mugs and spoons along with a kettle, so we could make hot drinks in our room after a long day on the slopes. The shower was perfect, with great water pressure and temperature, exactly what you want after snowboarding all day. The lift was only about a 5-minute walk away, which made getting to and from the slopes really easy. The views from the hotel were stunning, especially in the evening with the fire pit lit — it created such a cosy and scenic atmosphere. There was also a secure storeroom for snowboarding equipment, which was very convenient. We used the sauna one night, and it was easy to book through the front desk and a great way to relax. Honestly, there aren’t many cons to mention at all. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Val Cenis for a winter sports trip.

Extremely good value for money. Easy to find and very close to ample public parking. It's also right opposite the station, so very handy for those coming by train. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast very much what I needed before the next long drive. The bar provided refreshment and relaxation after a day in the car, and the proximity to an unfancy but perfectly adequate restaurant means you don't have to get back in the car to get supper.

Kind people working at the hotel, accommodated the requests we had with great consideration. Great communication. Good location right next to Modane bus and train station. Everything was as expected, would be happy to return again.
