The property is beautiful. An authentic old house beautifully restored with lots of original period features. Its location is gorgeous, in the middle of beautiful, peaceful, unspoilt countryside with a river literally at the bottom of the garden. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the en suite bathroom has a huge walk in shower. The guest rooms are restful, peaceful, and cool even in 30+ degrees heat. Marie-Anne is a fabulous host. Nothing is too much trouble for her to make sure her guests have a great stay! Breakfast is great with lots of Marie-Anne’s homemade jams, cakes & Madelines. We had a wonderful stay at the manoir, its location means it’s great for travelling around to see all of the many delights that the Dordogne area has to offer, and it was lovely at the end of each day to come back to the calm sanctuary of this lovely house.
