Great location just out of Carcassonne and easily reached from motorway - we stayed on our way from Sarlat to Provence Lovely welcome and assistance from William - Old fashioned but large clean and well equipped bedrooms and suites. The restaurant attached was a pleasant surprise and we were very impressed with their range of food, service, wine from their vineyard and value older Money

We were surrounded by care all the time. Thanks Simon for useful tips

Good price, convenient location off motorway

Very good value for money and the kids loved the bunk beds.

Lovely people, lovely breakfast, comfortable room, pet friendly, able to have dinner on site.

Super clean, confortable bed, quiet and good location. Staff were very attentive and professional.

Location, quality, decor; the obvious effort that has been put into creating a new hotel has achieved its goal. Also, the swimming pool was beautifully clean and the viewing area overlooking Carcassonne as the sun goes down is fantastic (this could be advertised more?). Value for money was excellent.

A pleasant hotel with friendly staff. It is appealing because everything here is authentic, offering a comfortable, unpretentious lifestyle. It feels like staying with a beloved aunt. The food is delicious, and the water in the well-maintained pool is clean and cool, making you feel alive and genuine. The old park, also known as the golf course, where you can stretch your legs after a day's travel, was also impressive.

Let's begin with the beautiful chateau, delightfully renovated by owners Kathy and Eric set in the quiet village of Palaja approximately five kilometres from Carcassonne. The place is spotless, everything works and the owners are always available with helpful considered advice. Many hotels and Airbnb establishments could do well to try and adopt a similar approach to their customers, cleanliness and maintenance... Chapeau Kathy etc Eric! Our stay was simply wonderful, we really enjoyed in the beautiful garden fantastically perfumed by an abundance of flowers and herbs (see pictures), or relaxing by the pool after our daily excursion sipping a variety of local wines and beers. The breakfast was first class, with local jams, cheeses, charcuterie, eggs etc..and of course delicious buttery croissants and a variety of french breads from local bakeries. The restaurant next door 'S Comme' is well worth a visit, we dined there on our first night which and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our room was well decorated, spacious, clean, everything worked from the heated radiator to the air conditioning, great shower... I really cannot say that about many places. Very importantly the bed was very comfortable!!! We really benefitted from the change of rhythm, which was a total contrast from the chaos and stress of London; by the third day we were so relaxed that we found ourselves dozing at every opportunity!! A great holiday always leaves you wanting more ......we will be back!!!

The jacuzzi on the terrace was a real plus to have in the cold winter after all that walking in town. It's long enough for a couple to stretch their legs completely. We received clementines and cannelé in our room upon arrival too. At first we thought that breakfast was a bit expensive, but it turns out that it really was very copious (we didn't realise you could choose not to check several boxes, so we checked them all...). So just be careful of this if you order in-room breakfast and don't want to waste food! The bread basket is massive!

Unique property in a unique location.

Inside the city. Easy walk to all places .

Everything was brilliant, staff were most helpful, breakfast was delicious, pool great, location could not be better and views of medieval town were exceptional

The family who run own the hotel were very friendly and helpful

Amazing location on a 15 min walk from the old town. The room was spacious and clean. We had a room with a view of the old town which did not disappoint. The hotel has a private onderground parking which is worth the 10 euro's.

Jean Michel and Catherine, the owners, were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.
