This 18th-century country inn is located in the center of Chenonceaux, just 1640 feet from the Castle of Chenonceau and 19 mi from Beauval Zoo. This is a beautiful property in every way. The grounds and the rooms were gorgeous and clean. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant and both were spectacular-- honestly the best we had during our entire trip to France. The staff was super helpful and generous-- we felt so cared for and like we had entered a magical world. Highly, highly recommend visiting the Chenecoux chateau across the street. Truly spectacular!

The dinner was fantastic and for a 3-star hotel the quality of the hotel and facilities was excellent. It was an overnight stay only on a drive back through France and was perfect for that. Would return for another short break.

LES AMANDINES is located in Chisseaux, 0.6 mi from the Château de Chenonceau. The property features a garden, as well as a terrace. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. We were welcomed by Mrs COQUELET at the time we requested. We were given all the information we needed, including a place to eat that evening. Even though it's located in a small village, there were places to eat within walking distance. The Chateaus we planned to visit were also a short drive away. The room was very spacious. We had out own bathroom, which was also big and had a heater we could dry our clothes on. Mrs COQUELET greeted us for breakfast each morning with great food and conversation. We had a patio outside our room to eat on. We drove there from Paris, which was about 3 hours drive.
The Chateau and gardens are amazing! The only detraction was that our visit was on a very hot Sunday afternoon and the number of visitors made it crowded. Still, the flow of the audio tour through the Chateau moved along. The online reservation system worked fine. A huge number of kayakers and boaters in the River Cher made photo opportunities challenging. Despite these issues it was a great experience and a tremendous learning opportunity regarding the history.
The Chateau was fun and interesting, obviously old and well taken care of, and the walk through the rooms was well designed. It was crowded considering distancing requirements, but you could make your way to all the rooms without a problem. The grounds were the more interesting part of the visit and we could have spent more time exploring them. Also, if you've got time, there's a bridge down the river (east) from the Chateau and there's a number of different options for boats and canoes to see the Chateau from the river.
We took our time and visited the interior of Chateau Chenonceau for 3 hours and exterior gardens and maze for 1.5. Can definitely spend a whole day there when the weather is nicer and flowers in bloom. Exceptionally kept and restored with an excellent audio guide. A must see even if you only have a day or two in Loire. We ate at Auberge du bon laborer amazing dinner and breakfast.
The chateau is the main attraction. Chenonceaux itself is centred around a main street with a variety of bars, restaurants and hotels with varied prices. We ate at a restaurant/brasserie promoting its burgers - modern decor and very friendly service. All these places are walking distance from the chateau.
The visit to Chenonceau was fantastic and next time I would like to enjoy the restaurant or salon de thé on the chateau grounds. The meal at Le Bon Laboureur in Chenonceaux was off the charts amazing! Nice walkable town with very friendly people.
The chateaux is well worth the visit. Much history unfolding with history of Mary Queen of Scotts visiting and Henry III rd ? The villagers are very proud of their chateaux, masses of incredibly elaborate flowers in most rooms, beautifully restored rooms and the history painstakingly recorded and very interesting indeed on the top floors. The grounds are simple but beautiful. We ate at the hotel opposite and the other 2 hotels seem to be closed for low season. The ample car park is conveniently located at the front gate of the chateaux. The main and only canteen in an outbuilding at the chateaux is expensive, very basic and badly run. People had to wait in low season for a very long time for a drink. When visiting here, arrive well prepared with drinks and a picnic-there are benches and good grounds for this
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location close the Chateau Chenonceaux (4 min by walking). They have an elegant restaurant, it was really an experience eating diner there. We were trying also their full breakfast and it was very variate( great cheese, ham, yogurt, eggs, jams, croissants...)

It was spotless clean and they did respect the covid restrictions very rigorously. It also has a good location if you are coming to see the chateau Chenonceaux.
The location was awesome, just a few minutes away from the Chateau de Chenonceau, can’t be that! The restaurant was good and the terrasse very lovely.
