This was my second visit to Dieppe in 2 years.
This was my second visit to Dieppe in 2 years. I love the huge market with great choice of fresh food from local farms including cheeses, honey, fruit and veg, plus an array of non food items including clothes and hardware; the Cafe des Tribunaux with its fine art deco interior and good tables in the sun out front for people watching and making new friends; and the beautiful Eglise Saint Jacques. Fantastic Moules Marinieres at Tout Va Bien on the attractive Quai Henri IV, and delicious gourmet fish lunch at Bistrot des Barrieres. Convenient shuttle bus from the ferry terminal to Dieppe railway station. Another visit needed to explore the castle and beaches!

Beautiful active town. Not just a tourist town. There is a fishing industry as well as factories in the area. Great for families with young children. Everything is walkable. Swimming is most pleasant at LOW TIDE, when you can leave your shoes on the edge of the pebble beach and walk into the sand water. Water is a bit murky/brackish due to many fresh water springs miwing with sea water. It is very clean. One huge criticism: there are not enough public toilets. There is one on the great lawn on the beach front which closes at 6pm. The ones in the train station are shut down. They recommend using the ones in the cinema across the streat "Megarama". This is really a big problem.

First visit and would definitely return. It's very easy to explore on foot.
Great variety of shops, bars and restaurants, Two of our favourite restaurants were Le Garden and La Musardiere on the quayside.
The cathedrals were stunning. The old town across the bridge was well worth a visit. Visit a quirky little cafe/bar called Mieux ici qu'en face, full of old radios.
The beach is sandy at low tide and the promenade has plenty of seating and food and drink kiosks.
Great mini golf course.
Exploring the coast either side is also worth it. Pretty villages and lovely beaches.

There is a relaxed atmosphere in the town. Good selection of restaurants, and even reasonable choice for my veggie wife. Tend to only pass through as a ferry stop, but a day or two spent in the town worth the visit.

Dieppe is a gorgeous traditional Normandy town with a fairytale castle (free to visit, but closed Mondays and Tuesdays), a lovely port, lots of good eateries, beautiful architecture and wonderful history - especially from WW2. Its market was voted the best in France in 2020. It's easy to get to from the Newhaven ferry (very convenient from London and the southern counties) and there's a direct motorway connection to Paris.

A charming coastal town perfect for a short getaway. Dieppe offers a beautiful mix of seaside charm, local culture, and relaxed French hospitality.
The Saturday market is an absolute must-visit, with fantastic local delicacies, fresh produce, and lovely stalls that really capture the spirit of the town. The pebble beach is beautiful, and a stroll along the pier is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the sea views.
One of the added bonuses is that Rouen is only a short train ride away and makes for a great day trip, full of history, beautiful architecture, and lovely cafés.
Whether for a weekend escape or a relaxing few days away, Dieppe is definitely worth visiting.

The best apartment during my one month trip in France!!!!!!!!
The apartment is fantastic！The beautiful decoration, the thoughtful guide books teaching you how to park the car and how to use all facilities in the apartment. The washing machine could dry clothes automatically after washing. And the host provide so many spices in the kitchen. The coffee there is also good. Love your kitchen !!!!!!!!!!
The location is also well. Very convenient to go to everywhere in the city center by walking.

Please he locations is good and Dieppe is beautiful . A really lovely place to stop for a day or 2. Nice bars and restaurants , great atmosphere and very picturesque . I would however look for a gite to rent or camp or a cheaper place to stay next time as I don’t think the hotel was worth the money . It is very basic , small and cramped .

Clean, convenient, functional hotel in central Dieppe especially if you have bicycles as there is a storage space on the ground floor. We'd just got there from an 80k ride back from Fécamp and appreciated the no hassle check in, simple comfortable rooms, air con and good showers. No frills but does a good job for a night or two

Clean, modern hotel right on the waterfront and right next to the main street in Dieppe with all the shops. restaurants as well as the farmers market we had a chance to come across on Saturday morning. Its also about 10-15 mins walk to the Dieppe castle.
