Superb bed, pillows, and linen. Good noise insulation (best I remember in a long time, I barely heard any steps from the corridor, and no banging doors). Great shower (as other reviews state it's not in a separate room, but not an issue for me). Very convenient to have Le Club for some coffee or water and a small bite (tasty chocolate cake). Helpful staff. Very good in all areas. I wonder what the mattress is (found the others already). To be fair I only tried them a short time, but great impression.

The hotel looks amazing from the outside and immediately gives you the feeling of being in France. Upon checking in, we were given 'welcome drinks' which set the mood for the entire stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the view of the courtyard from our room was amazing. Highly recommend!

Room was very comfortable, extremely clean, spacious and overlooked a nice park in the back. Bathroom was well appointed and the lighting was excellent which I didn't know was so important until we stayed in a bunch of hotels with really poor bathroom lighting. Free parking was very much appreciated and plenty of little restaurants near hotel as well as a Carrefour City a few doors down for essentials. The location was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. After a month traveling around France and 8 different hotels this was the most comfortable one we stayed at and I got the best sleep of the trip here.

Mama Shelter Lille made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed. Staff were really helpful and friendly - and were happy to help us in English. We also had excellent breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in ages. We were so cosy and comfortable in our room that we almost didn't want to leave to face the winter elements! Mama Shelter is also close to the Eurostar station and easy to find.

When we first arrived at this hotel our first thought was 'what on earth have we booked'. The outside is very run down and it is on it's own with nothing else around except the motorway. However the interior is less tired (apart from the carpets) and the swimming pool mainly made up for it as it was 30 degrees C when we arrived! Breakfast was good and parking free. It is also close to the Autoroute for a stopover and good value too.

We were visiting our young family in Lille and they did not really have the room to accommodate two sets of Grandparents. So we looking for a hotel which was relatively low cost but convenient with easy parking for a couple of nights. This Holiday Inn was ideal and we would stay again. However, it would not be so suitable as a base if you planned to explore the City of Lille.

The overall impression is a 1-2 stars motel. But there are also some plus points: - The staff is polite and helpfull. - It was a plus that the room was quiet despite the fact that the hotel was close to the highway. - The beds were confortable and the sheets and the pillows are clean. - The breakfast was reasonable but not great.

The hotel is really cozy and quiet with spacious parking. We loved the staff which made us love our staying there. This is the most welcoming team we have met while traveling abroad. Gregory should be nominated as "minister of tourism". Thank you all for the hospitality.
