Host Gilles was extremely nice and he even could speak good German. The room was lovely decorated and had a great bathroom. Breakfast in a little „salon“ with a table set up only for us two felt like being transformed back into the age where a butler might come along. Lovely gardens and quiet rural location and therefore exactly a place that we prefer. St. Omer is not far away, if you want to go out for dinner. It was a pity we stayed only for one night , the region is underrated where tourism is concerned, it has lovely little villages, great beaches. for example at Berck , and interesting historic buildings , we will come back. A Plus asset : Our dog was very welcome. Jutta and Harald, Germany

Good communication with and friendly greeting from Lucie, and the gite had everything we needed. It was all clean, tidy and new, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, good AC, lovely shower, and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace to eat. Local attraction Le Blockhaus is well worth a visit

The hotel is just lovely and really dog friendly. Everyone is very helpful, receptionist, bartender and breakfast crew. The room was accommodating my pets needs with a terrace open to the green lawn.

The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had! So much choice. Excellent scrambled egg, pancakes, choice of breads and croissants, fruit, cereal, etc etc. It was fantastic. The hotel is so stylish. The interior design is worthy of a much more expensive hotel. Beautiful colour scheme which runs through bedrooms and public spaces. We’d definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful accommodation with an attentive and caring host. You feel transported into a different century, wouldn’t have been surprised if Napoleon himself had walked through the door. We enjoyed a great breakfast beautifully served. Excellent stay.

Beautiful 18th century house.

Beautiful 18th century house. Wonderful bedroom, warm spacious with again, lovely en-suite. Bedroom equipped with kettle and herbal sachets and a sweet each on top of our towels! Tastefully decorated with exquisite antiques and pictures. Dogs allowed. The garden even in winter was stunning. Really looking forward to a return visit.

About 30 mins from leaving the Eurotunnel.

About 30 mins from leaving the Eurotunnel. If you need to eat then plan a visit to a restaurant, takeaway, or supermarket before arrival, as the only place to get food is a pizzeria on a campsite near the village. Very quiet village, perfect start to a holiday in France.

Very quaint small village excellently placed near St Omer for a quick weekend from the UK. Plenty to see and do in the area if you are interested in the WW2 stuff or just want to tour the quiet country lanes for some peace and quiet. A little hidden gem easily missed on our normal rush to the ferry from Paris. Definitely need to give it more time for exploring.
