Can hardly find the words to describe location , service and proactive hosts , it was beyond amazing 😍 ; beautiful rooms with a perfect mix of rustic authentic setting , comfortable , warm and super-accommodating , i slept like a baby ; the hosts even tidied my clothes after i left for the day and the breakfast-spread was wonderful and plenty. Warm and hearty welcome , nice conversation , plenty tips for to-do's in the area and super suggestions in my case for looking for wonderful properties to acquire in this beautiful area ; Confolens is absolutely one of the nicest towns in this region. The hosts truly found their calling here , we will definitely be back for our next scouting ;)

À beautifull guesthouse, well, pretty and Cosy decorated. Davina is a warm and very friendly host. The breakfast is huge with lots of variations. The sleeping room is very nice and big. And the sitting room is lovely. A very good and nice stay❣️

Steve and Michaela were fabulous hosts, very welcoming and supportive throughout our stay. The gite is set in a great location with stunning scenery, also minutes walk from the centre of Confolens with all its history, beauty and amenities. We were blessed with great weather for March and able to benefit from the large garden with plentiful seating area, the only noise being birdsong and the flowing river. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooker, airfryer, microwave, kettle & toaster to allow us a balance of being able to cook at home (there was also a washing machine, if needed). The gite was clean with fresh linen and towels, and plenty of space, yet having a cosy homely feel. A massive thank you to Steve & Michaela for your support and advice during our first visit to The Charente.
