The chap who greeted us when we arrived (2300hrs on 22nd May 2026) was extremely helpful, and pleasant.

Room was very clean and the staff were very helpful

The hotel has been renovated very recently and been done very tastefully. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I had left a bag on the train and they located the correct website to report it which resulted in my getting it back. The bar and lounge space are welcoming and funky like the rest of the hotel, we enjoyed our cocktails (inlcuding a special request not on their menu) and cheese and meat paltters. The location was brilliant for exploring the city on foot, very handy with eateries, bars and shops very near by but a little bit off the beaten track to be in a quiet location. All the staff spoke English well and tolerated my terrible school French!

The owner was great. Upgraded us (not at our request) at no extra charge as he had a larger room available. Very friendly. He even helped carry our bags to our room which was very kind of him. Breakfast was simple but excellent. Hotel was incredibly quiet overnight despite it's central city location. Public parking v convenient. Everything was just great. Perfect location for a short city break.
