Chris and Tracey were amazing, they contacted me before my stay to say local restaurants were closed on Mondays and would I like a meal and small dessert for a minimal fee which I jumped at the chance of. the meal was amazing and Chris and Tracey were really friendly and happy to chat about the house and how long they had been in France. Room was huge with a great big bathroom too! I had a fantastic nights sleep - everything was perfect

We had a lovely stop over here on our way down to Spain. Our room was comfortable and there was a lounge/dining room that we could use at all times. We arrived earlier than the normal booking in times but Roland was lovely and didn’t mind at all. We had a lovely meal in the evening cooked by Roland as well as a very good breakfast the next morning. My husband loved the omelet.

Chris and Trace were the perfect hosts. A warm welcome on arrival, happy to assist with anything (they arranged taxis for me which was a huge help); nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was beautifully presented and was delicious. A very comfy bed and large bathroom. I had a lovely swim in the pool within the extensive gardens. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris, Trace and their very pretty home.

The hosts currently have private problems, and this meant...

The hosts currently have private problems, and this meant that they were not ready in many ways to receive guests. they should have cancelled our booking! We could not tolerate the place any longer than three nights out of ten, there is no comfortable place to sit, the only "couch" is the fold-away bed which, because it had been folded away by the hosts incorrectly threw both my wife and I onto the floor when trying to rise from the seat! Might have been funny but it wasn't, there's a tiny table upon which you're expected to dine should the weather be inclement, the patio had not been finished, the umbrella stand was half-buried in the masonry (which I had to recover and clean before using it) that had been left from doing the patio along with a pallet of the tiles that were to be positioned on the hard core. The pool is in a totally different building which is like walking through a barn conversion to get to the pool, an absolute joke. The sun loungers had no mattresses on which to sunbathe, even though the hosts bought two new ones which were too small and about one inch thick! We tried very hard to accommodate all these things but it became quite intolerable so we left quietly and have lost our money as I'm quite sure that they won't have the good grace to offer a partial refund. It's a shame as it could be quite a nice set up but it needs loads of money spending on it. The photograph of the umbrella and chairs with a decent size table is misleading as there isn't a table of that size, and the building shown behind is derelict and in the hosts words "very dangerous" I feel the photo of the pool is also misleading as it allows you to think that it's within the same building as where you stay. Sorry but until the hosts have resolved their unfortunate circumstances I cannot recommend anyone to stay here, it is my humble opinion that they should not be accepting bookings right now in July 2024.
