I only spent one night at Hôtel de la Gare in Saint-Gengoux-le-National, arriving around 7pm and leaving again at 3am, so my stay was incredibly short. Even so, it left a fantastic impression. From the moment I arrived, everything felt welcoming. The atmosphere downstairs in the restaurant was warm and full of character, with a real buzz that made me wish I’d had more time to enjoy it properly. It had the sort of authentic charm that makes you feel you’ve stumbled across somewhere special. The room itself was absolutely immaculate. Everything was spotless, beautifully presented and clearly very well cared for. After a long day of travelling, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, making it one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had on the road. The air conditioning was exceptional too, keeping the room perfectly cool despite the warm weather outside, which made all the difference. It’s rare that such a brief stay leaves such a lasting impression, but this one certainly did. I only wish I’d had the chance to spend longer here. Based on my experience, I’d happily return without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Quiet room with balcony overlooking the pool. It was lovely to be able to swim and relax by the pool after a long drive. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Thank you to the owners and staff for a short but enjoyable stay.

The property is located in the countryside near St Boil, in Burgundy. Our bedroom was specious, very quiet & the bathroom adequate. The breakfast was delicious. Homemade with fresh ingredients, Sylvie's yoghurt bread deserves a special mention. Parking was in the courtyard. There is also a kitchen area for preparing & eating meals. The hostess, Sylvie, is charming, friendly & very helpful. If you are looking for a quiet break in the middle of the French countryside, this venue would be ideal. Highly recommended.

Very nice location in a small village but not far away from the motorway. Peaceful, quiet and perfect for my overnight stay on the way to the south of France. The host Didier is very responsive and welcoming. Everything is just like in the pictures. The next morning started with a marvellous breakfast with delicious bread, homemade jam and yogurt from a nearby farm. I would love to return on my next visit to France!
