This B&B is located in a 19th-century, stone house in the Breton village of Josselin. It features free Wi-Fi and a furnished outdoor terrace overlooking the garden. Super clean and comfortable, convivial hosts, fine breakfast of homemade yogurt, the thinnest homemade crepes, the biggest buttery flaky croissants, freshly squeezed juices, best Brittany butter, artisan breads and quality conserves, a simple breakfast but rather special. Left feeling rather pampered. Would welcome a grab handle in the shower or a non slip mat, shower base becomes rather slippery after shower gel nb.
Set in La Croix-Helléan, Maison De Vacances A Brambuan is a 5-minute drive from Josselin city center. It features free WiFi access and free private parking. I loved EVERYTHING about this warm and welcome BnB. Karen and Rick are simply meant to be BnB hosts. They set up everything for travelers’ comfort and make everyone feel “at home” immediately and throughout their stays. In fact, I loved the place so much I stayed four days when I had planned but one, originally. The rooms are each different. I saw two. The first, a garden level room with full bath and its own deck was lovely. The second, the entire attic was even more lovely. Both were spotless, had tons of books and DVDs for relaxation, tables for doing work and for dining in... I took advantage of all above. I also walked and rode my bike around the area. There’s a nice 1.0-1.5km walk to central Josselin/ahops/castle/cinema/restaurants... and lovely rolling farmland and a paved canal pathway to ride-stroll along for as many km as one pleases, really. Quite simply, I fell in love with the entire area and feel lucky to have found the hosts and their particular BnB. Ahhh.. I forgot to mention: you’ll have tons (fresh eggs, milk, butter, fruits, breads, pastries, etc etc etc to eat (and drink) for breakfast — so much so that I was too full for lunch or even much dinner :-)
Offering a flowered garden with terrace, Les Logis de Ste Croix is a B&B located in the medieval village of Josselin. Free WiFi access is available in common areas. Everything! Wonderful hostess and beautiful property to enjoy. A lovely spacious and historic home.
Located in Josselin, 29 mi from Auray, Chambre d'art features a shared lounge and free WiFi. There is a fully equipped shared bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Marc is such a charming host! You can’t feel uncomfortable around him. The whole house felt very warm and pleasant. Marc is an artist (you can also buy his paintings he exhibits in his house!) The room was comfortable, clean and individuell. The breakfast was also lovely with premiered croissants and very good french bread. I‘d definitely recommend to stay there
Josselin is an attractive, highly unique town in the south of Brittany, dominated by a regal 15th century castle, set around charming gardens and river. Autumnal colours dominate in October. Museums and Saturday food market well worth visiting. Lots of places to eat and drink. Photo opportunities round every corner. Will be coming back to discover the surrounding countryside and villages. Best to bring your car or hire one.
Good place to visit -nice compact historic centre, however the tour of the chateau was disappointing. The only way to visit the chateau is through a guided tour - all in French - and limited to a very small number of rooms.
Josselin is quite a small town but on a sunny day it is just beautiful to stroll around. The Chateau is stunningly beautifully set above the river. It doesn’t open til 2 pre July which is a shame. There are several nice little bars and restaurants. Probably a nice place to stop over or stay for a few days.
For a holiday that offers so much, Josselin is it....from cycle rides along the picturesque canal, to cafes and restaurants, beautiful, quaint buildings and friendly townspeople......it is the perfect place to wind down and smell the roses!
Beautiful town steeped in history with the most imposing Chautau overlooking the river. Shame it would appear that 90% of restaurants are shut in October, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat at night without paying an arm and a leg like we did at the Logis restaurant.
Enjoyed walking along the canal with its attractive lock keeper's gardens. The old town is very pleasant to stroll around with its small resturants & creperies etc. Castle & doll museum also well worth a visit. Interesting old church on main street which is usually open. Helpful tourist office. Restaurant at Hotel de Chateau is well a visit for lunch or dinner.
