Ideally situated close to Gorges du Verdon and the lavender fields. You have a bus that can take you to the departure site for the hike and take you back at the end of the canyon (after 6 hours one way). In the city centre you have lots of options for restaurants, shops and local artisans.

It's a small village with a few restaurants and shops that...

It's a small village with a few restaurants and shops that is really a jumping off point for hikers and visitors to the area. There is not a ton to do there. There is a gas station/grocery store that was a good place to grab supplies.

I'd suggest spending at least two nights here.

I'd suggest spending at least two nights here. That was my intention, but the weather had another idea. I'd biked to La Palud from Nice (130 km with over 2,000 meters of climbing). However, the forecast for two days out was for rain and 7 C. As the return route has 60-80 km at 1,000 meters, doing that in the cold rain would have been unpleasant. I ate at the Italian restaurant in the village. It was excellent.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable beds- we were super impressed with the breakfast buffet! Everything was delicious! The hotel was so helpful recommending so many activities, booking us dinner at the Hotel & Spa du verdon (recommend) and suggesting a spa at that same hotel (lovely space!) Great location, cute little village and a wonderful park & play area next door that our kids loved. Large car park and great base to explore the region

Extremely helpful host with excellent communication. We were greeted by lovely gifts of wine and local honey too. Superb location. One big master bedroom. Bedroom two and three are linked by a door. Nice garden area and terrace. It is right in the middle of LA Palud, so all amenities are to hand. Good parking spot 50 metres from the house. Will use again I hope

The location was beautiful—peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk from town, which made it very convenient. We appreciated the thoughtful touches in the room, like the coffee machine and the L'Occitane products. The hotel’s lobby, bar, and restaurant were all beautifully decorated, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere.

Good location for activities within the Verdon Gorge, close to Route des Crete's, half an hour drive to kayaking and Moustires Sainte Marie. The pool was accessible and nice, the hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was easy with a large car park outside.
