This hotel is located in front of Saint Martin’s Church, 164 feet from River Aude and 0.7 mi from Limoux Train Station. The bed was very comfortable, but not the pillows. It had all recently been redecorated, (I could still faintly smell the paint) The bathroom fittings all looked brand new. I was not in the main hotel, but a building just 2-3 minutes away, which seemed a bit strange... but no problem.(I had asked for not too many steps and my room was just up one flight ) It was very quiet, could only just hear the church bells which were in the next building. Also it was 3-4 minutes from a lovely old bridge with a beautiful view over the big river Aude. The owner was very friendly. There's no proper reception area at side door of the hotel, , you go into the bar restaurant to find the owner. My lunch next day was very good value and tasty.
Located just a 20-minute drive from Carcassonne in Limoux, Logis Hotel Moderne Et Pigeon was built in 1501 and it offers a gastronomic restaurant. Nothing. We stayed one night while a large party was being held in the hotel. We did not get much sleep due to the noise from the party.
Offering free WiFi and city views, Maison Neuf is a property located in Limoux. Small attention to detail : small amount of dishwash liquid, washing powder, dishwasher pellets, percolator paper, washing gloves...lots of thought went into making us feel welcome and at home. The house is modern, light and very clean!
Featuring a swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge and views of the garden, B&B La Moneze Basse is located in Limoux and has accommodations with free WiFi. From the very warm welcome by the proprietor to the excellent breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the garden, everything was tip-top. We were given lots of recommendations for restaurants in Limoux (only a five-minute drive away). The facilities offered such as "help yourself to coffee from the machine" and the honour bar where you just signed your room number and chose wine, beer or soft drinks from the array provided, added a wonderful personal touch. This is really such a comfortable family place that one could easily spend a week here, enjoying the pool and the garden with its delightful views of the surrounding vineyards, whilst, also taking advantage of the sightseeing and walking available.

The arcaded Square in centre was attractive. but sadly the rest of the town had too many deserted shops empty. I'm not a good person to judge expenses etc, as I was given a lift with my daughter, who was at a meeting, and I am 83 yrs so just had a wander around the market (not very impressive) and a look in the lovely old church. I ate in the hotel Arcades where I'd stayed, the lunch 3 courses was good @ 15€ but a small glass of rose cost 2€50, which was a bit high for a small glass. Getting around a bit odd as the streets appeared to be car free, but there were a few cars in what seemed like pedestrian streets.
Limoux is a beautiful town full of history and ancient buildings to match. With a long history dating back to Roman times and beyond, it is a fascinating insight into life from those times - when this area was known as the 'French Tuscany' - until the present day. Step inside some of the buildings here, and you can feel as if you have been transported to Renaissance Italy - hardly surprising, given the history of the town. Set along the picturesque riverbanks of the gently flowing River Aude, Limoux is surrounded by stunning countryside, also reminiscent at times, of Italy, due to the tall cypress pines midst the rolling hills and farmers' fields, set against a backdrop of majestic mountain ranges - an artist's delight with the palette of extraordinary hues, a veritable mélange of textures and colours. Well known for it's vineyards, the local vignerons are famous for the bubbles of their sparkling blanquette & are of good heart, having provided the funds to restore the Church of St Martin in the centre of Limoux. There is much more to recommend Limoux than space here allows .. Well worth a visit !!

The house was lovely - modern decor, clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect - just a couple of minutes from the central square in Limoux, and easy to find parking nearby. Geoff was very friendly and helpful, and it was good to know that we could have contacted him at any point if we'd needed to. Overall a great base for exploring the Aude area.

Domaine St George ticks all the boxes. Lovely B&B home just out of Limoux. Our hosts were especially welcoming and helpful, and recommended that we go to the Mirepoix apple festival which was great fun, The breakfast was especially nice, made with organic produce. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful old house in a good central location, we only stayed one night, but would be happy to stay longer and will return if we need accommodation in Limoux again. Also I am a clean freak and the apartment met my high standards.

Great location- just away from the centre of Limoux but only a (less than) ten minute walk through gardens and a scenic bridge. Fab to get a whole apartment so inexpensively.
