The room was great, just as pictured. Very clean. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate was available for the following morning using the in room machine. Also, available were chocolate and madeleine cookies. The bedding was nice and the bathroom was nice. The property is located perfectly near 2-3 small pubs, Le Ligon restaurant, a boulangerie, a cafe and a small grocery store. Our host Lysiane was very helpful and available to answer questions through the Booking dot com app. We didn’t speak French, so Lysiane kindly made dinner reservations for us at Le Ligon restaurant. If she hadn’t then we may get not have been able to get in because the restaurant was packed.

Great place to stay with friendly owners. The room was very spacious and had all we needed. Big bed, a sofa and a nice bath room. It is nice and quiet there so we had a good night rest. Breakfast was served by the owner in the morning. The Wifi is without a password and that is not working with iPhone/iPad these days. Would be good to update WiFi to have a password. It was not a big issue as 4G/5G was stable enough to steam some video. There are some big friendly cats at the property. There is a lot of parkingspace too. The kitchen has an oven and microwave in case you like to make a snack or even some coffee.

The area is located in a region rich in history and architectural heritage. The landscapes are magnificent, with meadows, fields, and woods stretching as far as the eye can see. Unfortunately, the local authorities don't seem fully aware of the assets their community possesses.

Marville was a wonderful discovery, rich in history, with a magnificent church adjoining the inn. It was a warm, charming, and peaceful setting. The welcome was very friendly, with staff always available, and the food was of good quality. I will cherish the memory.

A magnificent village with a wealth of period houses and buildings that give it a timeless feel. It would be easy to film period pieces in Marville. It's also a great starting point for exploring the region and/or going for walks. A place worth discovering!

Marville is a small village, but very charming.

Marville is a small village, but very charming. I got the tip from France Pure, a fantastic website for France lovers. There are plenty of sights to see in the area, and it's also a great place for hiking. And it's not far from the Netherlands!

The location was perfect. The main restaurant and bar are located on the square, we stayed in a more modern build on the next street. As a family we were provided with two adjoining rooms via the balcony. We found this very considerate, as we had not requested it. Everyone slept well and there were good shower facilities. Marville is full of incredible history and the owner shared her interest with me. She has written the local guidebook to the area and it is well worth looking at to uncover many hidden treasures.
