The Hôtel Alpen Ruitor is located in the heart of the Three Valleys Domain, in the center of Méribel-Mottaret. The staff was extremely friendly and made the stay exceptional. The food is stellar: from a fantastic breakfast to the wonderful late-afternoon pastries in the lobby, the attention to detail was perfect. Our three dinners at La Table were amazing too, absolutely recommend. For skiing, the on-site ski locker room is great, loved that it's on ground floor, right off the hill and next to the lobby. Also note that there are multiple lifts to access right outside the hotel. Apres-ski bars are right there as well, if you wish to stay outdoors and people watch in the afternoon. The room was also fantastic: comfortable mattress and pillows and plenty to space to unpack and relax. Even a room balcony, if you wish to step out to preview the day's weather. The singing two nights in the lobby was enjoyable and fun, and love that the staff have multi creative talents!!

Hotel in Méribel
Located in the center of Méribel, the Eterlou hotel is a family hotel with 62 rooms and suites. The Savoyard decoration where wood and stone are omnipresent offers you a haven of peace in Méribel. The location is arguably one of the best in Meribell. We were so pleasantly surprised. And the outdoor facilities (pool/spa/sauna/steam room) are epic and to a high quality. Best value for money hotel I have staying in a ski resort town. Even the breakfast was far more then the simple 'continental breakfast' advertised at book.

Meribel was a lovely town but we stayed just to visit my son who works there and we aren't skiers so that was long enough as nothing much to do for non skiers scenery was breathtaking food and restaurant selection excellent
Meribel - Mottaret is a great resort a little higher and smaller than Meribel. It’s ideal for families as has many ski-in out options. At Easter it was fairly quiet, no queues and plenty of Space. Weather was changeable but we had very good snow 3 /5 days. The restaurants are decent and there is a good supermarket. All very easy to navigate. ESF ski school recommended.
Fabulous find. Great location with all amenities within walking distance. Super well groomed large and varied ski area accessible to beginners and intermediate skiers. Great people. Excellent food and drink. Amazing views.
We went to meribel for downhill mountain biking. While there are a few red and black trails, which favour a downhill bike, most trails and tracks are better suited with an enduro bike. If you don't mind a little bit of pushing uphill, it's fine either way. Most "Bikepark" tracks are on the easier side suited well for beginners. Elite/pro tracks are harder to find, but those that exist are fun to ride with well built jumps and drops / obstacles. I wouldn't mind to have more of those though. The enduro trails are panoramic and absolutely superb. The view from the mountains is just stunning. Descent is sometimes over 1000hm which is really amazing. All three valleys can be accessed with chair lifts by a single ticket. The price is totally fair. Summed up, for hardcore Bikepark riding an area like Chatel/Avoriaz/Morzine is probably a bit better, but for a good mixture of DH/Enduro Meribel and surrounding area is just perfect. Would bring both bikes next time though ;)
I have been to Meribel for a week's skiing before and had a great time. Now I visit often for just the day as we stay in Chamagny en vanoise which is just across the valley from Courcheval and has access to la Plagne, Champagny is a cute tradition French village and just feels like you're in France unlike some other ski resorts. From here we can ski La Plagne and Les Arcs or drive 20 mins to Courcheval to mix up the week a little.
My favorite skiing village in the 3 valleys due to its combination of location, charm and facilities. Excellent for families. It is quite quiet though, if you are interested in a really lively apes ski this place is probably not for you.
Meribel-Mottaret, Méribel
The location is great and it is super easy to get to the lifts and then back to the hotel in the afternoon. The hotel is well equipped for skiers and snowboarders with gear closets. There is a little shop nearby and also some bars/restaurants and you can easily walk down to the village for more options. The kitchen had all that I needed so it was easy to save some money. The staff was helpful and did their best to help me have a good stay.
The location is arguably one of the best in Meribell. We were so pleasantly surprised. And the outdoor facilities (pool/spa/sauna/steam room) are epic and to a high quality. Cosy and well furnished apartment in the centre of Mottaret. 1 minute walk from the free bus stop and local shop, 2 minutes to the ski lifts and main restaurants. Warm and quiet with a big comfortable double bed. Good variety of facilities available including coffee machine, hairdryer, etc. Host was very engaged and friendly.
Lovey flat for 4 people in the bedrooms + 2 on the couch in the living room, with an awesome view on the Meribel valley. 5 min walk to the Morel chairlift and directly reachable from the FolieDouce après-ski (no need to take any lift).
Méribel
Location is superb. Just a short stroll to the ski lifts and all the amenities of Meribel. The apartment is comfortable, warm and clean. The host provided clear instructions on the procedure to retrieve the apartment keys.
Meribel-Mottaret, Méribel
Location was good for skiing as you could ski in and out quite easily, views were good. It was warm and clean price was high for the apartment
Location is wonderful. Close to the ski lift and shops/restaurants. I found the quality of food in meribel very average and overpriced.
