This hotel is in the medieval village of Monpazier. The 4-star hotel offers rooms with views of the Périgord hills and Monpazier. Rooms at the Edward 1er hotel have private bathrooms and satellite TV.... Superb effort and hospitality despite the Covid19 difficulties!
Located in Monpazier in the Aquitaine region, Les Fleurs provides accommodations with free WiFi. There is a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer in each unit, along with free toiletries. Very close to the Beer factory which we wanted to visit
Located 1.9 mi from the bastide of Monpazier, L'Ariade is a guest house surrounded by a garden. You can relax on the furnished terrace and visit the Château de Biron, which is 3.7 mi away. Very easy to find, just one turn off main road and a few minutes from Montpazier. And what a find, a gem. Evelyne gave us very warm welcome from the moment her smiling face popped from her bungalow. Tranquil and peaceful with lovely gardens. Our room was comfy and beautifully decorated and the tea and coffee facilities most appreciated. Breakfast was set out in Evelyn's kitchen with all home grown produce. It was a shame we only needed one night in that area and would definitely return. We could have another walnut cracking challenge !! and share recipes again. Thanks for our short time together Evelyne.
Chez Edèll is a B&B located in the heart of Monpazier in Dordogne. Set 28 mi from Bergerac and 31 mi from Sarlat-la-Canéda, the property has free Wi-Fi and a sun terrace. I don't know where to start. The owners were a lovely couple who really enjoyed receiving people at their home. The room included a full-equipped bathroom, a covered terrace with incredibly natural sight-seeings (mountains, everything green)... The breakfast was excellent, more than expected! The house was pretty decorated. And the ancient village quite recommendable. If we come back to Monpacier, surely we will repeat in Chez Edell
Offering an outdoor pool and sun terrace, La Maison Anglaise is located in Monpazier in the Aquitaine Region, 21 mi from Sarlat-la-Canéda. Bergerac is 23 mi away. Free WiFi is provided. We loved the ambience, the charm of the apartment, the welcoming and kind attention and closeness from the owners. Kids loved the pool, and it was a lovely stay. Perfect for a family of 4 with young kids.
Located in Monpazier, Le Camp De Ferie provides accommodations with a private pool, a terrace and pool views. Had an amazing holiday for 10 nights! Everything required for a home from home stay. Immaculately clean. Large gardens with a fabulous swimming pool. Very friendly host. Will be coming back soon! Totally recommend.
A beautiful bastide town with plenty to see and with numerous interesting shops and galleries. We really liked The Bastide Restaurant but there are several other excellent restaurants and coffee shops that we have tried in the past and have enjoyed. The weekly market is colourful and really interesting. This is one of our most favourite small towns in France.
Lovely bastide town Built In 1289 by the English. Cited by le Corbusier as an ideal city design. Cafes, restaurants, antique shops and easy distance from other bastides. (Sad to see lots of property for sale- will it sell for second homes or to sustain local jobs and people?) Very safe and charming.
Lovely old village living up to the pictures we see. Less ''touristy'' than others we visited. Only one eating option on the night, tapas style, with limited choice but nevertheless still good.
Had a fantastic stay in the Dordogne! Hope to be back soon - but you should fly into Bergerac! Drive to Bordeaux is on small roads and almost 3 hours. Next time we would stay closer to the river near Castlenaud. Don't miss Las Caux - definitely one of the wonders of the world. Not much to do or see in Monpazier but it is a cute walled town.
The small town is in a lovely area of the dordogne. It is one of the best remaining Bastide towns, loads of information as you walk round and the small museum well worth a visit. Lots of little shops bars restaurants and do try the brewery. Area round about a must is castle Beynac-et-Cazenac and then a trip on the river. But you really could find loads of places to visit or just enjoy the laid back tranquillity of Monpazier
Lovely bastide town in beautiful countryside. There is a good range of shops and restaurants - a fabulous glass blower shop where they produce some gorgeous objects and you can see the glass blowe at work. There is an artisanal brewery creating some great beers.
Superb effort and hospitality despite the Covid19 difficulties!
