Staying at Château de Cauderoue was a truly memorable experience. This is not a standard hotel — it is a real historic château, full of character, atmosphere, and stories. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us warmly and personally showed us around the property. Later, she invited us for an apéritif with local Floc and recommended a nearby restaurant with an excellent chef. The building itself is remarkable. The exposed stone and brick walls, the high ceilings, and the cool stone corridors create a feeling that is impossible to reproduce in a modern building. The rooms are comfortable, and the château naturally stays cool even during hot summer weather. We only needed to open opposite windows to enjoy a pleasant breeze. The surrounding park with its old trees is beautiful, and the saltwater pool area is very well maintained. The location is also excellent: peaceful and private, yet Nérac is only a short drive away. Breakfast was another memorable part of the stay. It was served in the beautiful main room of the château, and it was clear that the owner put a lot of care and effort into preparing it. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
