The location worked for us just outside of Paimpol - it was quiet and close to some great walks, including along the nearby river, but also close enough for eating out and getting supplies.

A friendly town, marvellous local produce, excellent market...
A friendly town, marvellous local produce, excellent market on Thursday and dining was excellent . An easy relaxing picturesque location. My third visit for the Dartmouth Paimpol Cross Channel Regatta . The marina staff are exceptional and the Hotel Goelo was a good choice to relax in after busy days and long late dinners. Recommend L'Escale , Terre Nuevos and Le Criee to eat at - the standard of service at each was superb and the food delicious.

We were very impressed with Paimpol & the surrounding area,...
We were very impressed with Paimpol & the surrounding area, both coastal & inland, but in full season it could be very difficult to get around & park.
There are plenty of shops & restaurants but we only ate home-cooked food.
The ruined Abbey de Beauport is well worth a visit, with lovely coastal walking areas in and around the grounds. It also had excellent parking & a cafe.
We would recommend a stay in Paimpol but not in the full holiday season.

Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours...
Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours. There are plenty of shops and restaurants but we did not find any outstandingly good. It came to life on the Tuesday with a very large market which occupies several streets and squares in the town. The bars were full and the atmosphere was lively.

Nice little town, lots of interesting shops and restaurants, everything very close by, small independent shops and supermarkets, hardware stores garages and the like, touristy but obviously popular with locals as well.

Travelling in France would be so much easier if there were more hotels like this one. It's just a little bit out from the city centre, was a good size, not too big, had some English speaking staff, was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a restaurant and bar but we didn't use either. The information booklet was in both French and English. There appeared to be plenty of parking. There are two supermarkets in walking distance.

The rooms were spacious, and each was differently themed. Easy independent access after check-in. Comfortable beds. The location was very quiet, a bit out of Paimpol and out of the main road. Easier to use a navigator to get there the first time. House dog was welcoming and ready to play. Breakfast was simply superb. Nice talking with the landowners. We will stay longer next time :-)

We were given a warm welcome and our rooms were very well equipped and comfortable. We especially appreciated the facilities for making a hot drink in our rooms - unusual in guest houses in France!
The view from the dining room was beautiful.

Fantastic location, with a view over the port. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Quirky decoration - our room was designed to look like the captain's cabin on a ship.
