We stayed overnight after getting the ferry to Cherbourg. Next day we travelled to Ill de Re. It was a good stop over point and comfortable for one evening :)

All experience of staying at Christine's house was truly amazing. It’s a wonderful place that gives you the atmosphere of a medieval castle. The house was super clean and beautifully maintained. Since there are only a few rooms (I think three), you get plenty of privacy. Christine is a very friendly, warm, and welcoming host. As are her dogs—a big fluffy white one and a brown one—and even the donkeys. :) Breakfast, served by Christine, was lovely and delicious. I 100% recommend staying at Christine's house, especially for anyone seeking a unique and memorable experience.

We felt so lucky to have discovered this absolute gem in the Normandy countryside to stay for a night on our way down to the Dordogne - we actually would have loved to stay longer. Every comfort was provided, including Yorkshire tea bags in our lovely room with the tea/coffee making facilities. Incredibly comfortable bed. Debbie and Rob were such welcoming hosts and Debbie’s cooking was sublime. We will definitely be booking again on our next trip to France!
