I loved the outside garden where you can eat and spend leisure time. Also, the area is quiet and tranquil.
The inside was rustic, with beautiful old furniture, well kept, which we appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean, as well as the bathroom.
The hosts were very kind and ready to help.

Beautiful garden and rooms. A very serene, relaxing place to stay. Cathi was an excellent hostess.

Rogny has an interesting role in the areas canal culture, with an historic staircase of 7 locks that lifted canal boats up the nearby hill. The Briare canal goes through the town, but when I visited in September there was little open at predictable hours except the patisserie next door and the pizza place. The Auberge on the corner said they were open at 6 but I never saw them open. The neighboring bar has a nice matron but the choices for food were limited. There is no grocery, and any actual 'restaurants' were closed. In three days I ate 1) Pizza 2) Leftover pizza and 3) bread and cheese purchased in another town. I couldn't wait to leave. Sorry. I enjoyed many of the nearby towns, but at least in September Rogny doesn't offer much.
