We were in France for a wedding in St Lizier, very happy we...
We were in France for a wedding in St Lizier, very happy we chose to stay in St Giron as it had a selection of restaurants in walking distance and was a good base to exlore the region. I am glad we had a hire car as was able to drive up to villages in the mountains. Saturday market was excellent. Plus we were lucky enough to stay when they were taking the wild horses throught the town to the Mountains- spectacular!LindaUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010
St Girons is not a pretty tourist town.....but it definitely...
St Girons is not a pretty tourist town.....but it definitely has a charm of its own,which I liked very much. Low key,nice vibe. Thé département bus stop and taxi stand are just 5 minutes walk away from the very centre of the town.....and it’s a very pleasant walk over the river,down small streets. I liked the restaurant Saint Gi.....and if you crave chips go to l’Union! They also do ice-creams!
