The staff are superb people! I have to commend the friendly, organised and obliging staff. I stayed for 1 night and was made to feel very welcome indeed. My room was rather stuffy but then again there was an incredible thunder storm the likes of which I have never seen before! The breakfast was very nice and the location adjacent to the train station is very convenient indeed! I would gladly return to this hotel! Thank you to the lovely staff!

This is our second visit to Villa Marguerite. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely comfy beds with real linen sheets. Big bathroom. delicious home cooked breakfast. The garden is amazing and leads down to the canal.

Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south.

Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south. We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon in August. It was easy to get to and small and quiet enough to get a taste of French life without feeling we'd missed too much. We wandered the streets, admiring the architecture, visited the museum as it was closing, stopped for a drink in a bar and shopped for basic ingredients at a local store. It felt safe. Perfect for a stop over. After leaving Saint Omer we drove south and stopped in Nemours for lunch, picking up picnic items from the supermarket and parking up in a big carpark on a very attractive part of the river. Would recommend as an alterrnative to the services.

Such a beautiful place, the architecture is amazing.

Such a beautiful place, the architecture is amazing. Lots of places to eat and drink. If you have time visit the Audomarois, grab a boat ride to see these centuries old marshlands We went to Les Faiseurs de Bateaux, just north of the station.

Lots to do in city and interesting sights and monuments to visit. Small enough to walk everywhere. Great boat trip round the Marshes. lots of good restaurants and bars. Good local shops for food and clothing and necessities.

St Omer is twinned with my town of Deal so I was made very welcome by the twinning society in St Omer with a boat trip in and around the waterways dining out in a top restaurant. Mixing with my French Councillor counterparts meeting the Deputy Mayor and the Mayor of St Omer . The Queen Victoria pub were very welcoming and appears to be a magnet for Brits abroad. The theatre is a main feature the Saturday market not to be missed . Lots of pavement cafes and places to eat and drink . Friendly locals. Great public gardens next to town centre , impressive Cathedral.

Tha main attraction is the cathedral in the centre. Some good things to explore there with mainly 19th century decoration. A splendid horological clock dating from the 14th century was the star. The Marais gave us a really enjoyable guided trip on the waterways in a Bacon, made locally, with the guide giving us a potted history of the town in French with a bit of English. And a short description of the way these boats are built on the site. We had good meals at L'industrie and Le Ducasse which was hosting the Kayak Polo competitors for the evening. The public garden is a joy to walk round

Excellent location in St Omer, on a quiet street right by the Cathedral. We parked our car, after dropping off our luggage, in a free Car Park called 'Le Bastion' - an easy short walk from the property. The apartment was warm, comfortable and had been decorated for the Christmas period. We were just 2 people in the apartment so plenty of room. The shower was good. Beds were firm and bedding/towels supplied. We ate out during our stay. Special mention to 'Le 1900' for excellent food. Overall a very pleasant stay.

A budget hotel on the outskirts of town , the small town of St Omer is only a 10 mins walk away ,and restaurants are just around the corner .The room are budget and small but clean and tidy . the car park is large and fenced but not totally secure .As an overnight stay before the shuttle is was great .

Compact apartment a 5 min walk from the centre of St Omer…clean & tidy with free parking outside. We’ve stayed here a number of times(and at the sister appt next door) on our way to Le Shuttle and it’s an ideal spot to do so.
