Located on the edge of the village, Chalet-Hôtel Neige et Roc, The Originals Relais (Hotel-Chalet de Tradition) offers the opportunity to sample French village life, with the center and its shops only... everything was perfect the hotel is clean well equiped i would not hesitate to come back once again the breakfast is maybe a little bit expensive for the choices we had but i think that it was due to covid restrictions the restaurant was very good on the other hand!

Many families visiting Samoëns loved staying at Hôtel Alexane, Chalet-Hôtel Neige et Roc, The Originals Relais (Hotel-Chalet de Tradition), and Logis Hotel Gai Soleil.
A really nice place. I visited in the summer, I really enjoyed the hikes but you can also go down the river with kayaks, rafts etc, go horseriding, paragliding... lots to do outside of skiing! We had a local naturalist guide taking us to see marmots and showing us edible plants, that was quite a highlight! Otherwise, the city is doing a lot for public transportation, having no car that was a huge plus. The restaurant Grand Cret is absolutely delicious and with a fantastic view .... and even a veggie option! :)
Second visit to Samoens which is a pleasant village, we did not eat out much as in past experience it was busy and expensive so cannot comment on this visit. Pretty town which has all you would need to enjoy a great skiing holiday or even for a summer location. Very lovely walks along the mountain river.
Beautiful village and views. Been to majority of the large Alp resorts but not Samoens. Wanted to break the family into the Alps in a smaller village. That said, it had everything we needed. One thing it could do with in the centre is a decent supermarket - it has two tiny ones in Sherpa and Casino. There is one out of town but a bit of a trek by foot...
It has a French farmland feel to it like you are not staying in a purpose built French ski resort. There is a great campsite on the edge of town with a pretty lake so I could bring my campervan there for a more budget holiday. Les Glaciers hotel and bar underneath is the most lively. The bus lines are colour coded the yellow line served my bus stop Le Berouze only 3 stops less than 10 minutes from the ski lifts and two stops from the village centre. Le Carrefour supermarket was 1.1km walk from my hotel through nice French farmland. It is more refined not a larger louts place for getting too drunk.
Samoens is a pretty town and has some great restaurants but not that many so it is best to research and book ahead especially if for more than 4 people. Nice local shops and bars, good ski bus service but our airport transfer company (Snow Vans) also offered daily ski lifts so really didn't need a car. Would drop at one lift and pick up from another if required! A couple of supermarkets that stock everything you need in town. Non skiers can buy a foot pass for the Grand Massif Express to get into the mountains and walk or take in the views. We chose this area because it is so easy to get to from Geneva airport. Approx 1 hour outside of rush hour! Short flight from London and short transfer. All good
Samoens is a pretty little village with all the shops you need and good apres ski. You have to time the cable car right in the morning to avoid having to queue for too long. We ate at La Fandioleuse and La Louisiane, having booked at both places in advance.
Super value, a great, simple, clean, hotel at the foot of the Vercland lift - perfect for our ski requirements...Fabulous location for skiers (50m from base of Vercland lift). Great value and good quality food served in the restaurant (worth visiting to eat - even if you are staying elsewhere in the area). Friendly, safe, family run hotel. Simple but perfectly adequate accommodation - basic but comfortable rooms. Room was toasty warm, shower always hot. Safe on site parking. We absolutely plan to return.

Ferme du Ciel is an amazing chalet with all the facilities you can dream of - sauna & jacuzzi, beautiful fire place, professional kitchen, etc. The chalet was incredible clean, with an amazing location and views out over the valley. The owners Alex and Lucie were really welcoming and were always available to help us and answer any questions we had. We had a great stay, and will definitely be coming back!
Apartment is in a great location; - in the centre of the village, with a ski-bus stop 1 minute down the road opposite little supermarket. The third room is in the eves, so suitable for children, but might be a little tight for 2 adults. Great spot for a ski-holiday, would recommend.
I was given a super-friendly welcome, and the staff and proprietors are obviously proud (and rightly so) of their hotel. I ate in for dinner, and this was wonderful, as was the breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay (I'm sorry it wasn't for longer!).

The location to the ski lift was great - a walkable distance. The accommodation was by far the cheapest in the entire area. Cute setup with plenty of space for 4 people (2 couples) to hang out after skiing.
Great hotel with reasonable prices. Very cosy, close to the village, but in the calm area. 15 min by foot or 5 min by car or shuttle bus to the ski lift. Good pool area. Cosy lounge with fire place.
Everything you need for a ski accomodation packed in a small space. Access to lobby (pool, table footbal) & swiming pool & sauna, ski lock & free indoor parking.
lovely room. spacious. clean. really good location for town and a ski bus stop directly outside. fab to have hot tub and pool in the evening. lovely breakfast.
