The staff was very friendly. I recommend having dinner at the hotel which requires prior request at the reception. It tastes like home made French.

Sault-de-Vaucluse is actually a very beautiful place which is worth to drop visit more than once. I believed that the bad image of Residence Ventoux Lavande and Hotel Le Signoret were just in the very minority. They cannot represent the overall reputation of Sault-de-Vaucluse. Most people are nice, such as the neighbor and the guesthouse called ‘Bastide des Bourguets’ which helped to find alternative, and the four-stars hotel called ‘Val de Sault’ which accepted us at late night...
With the aroma of lavender everywhere and Mont Ventoux looming as a backdrop, the countryside and the small quaint villages are spectacular. It was harvest when we were there and even getting behind what looked like a trash truck smelled like lavender! The people were amazing. Was looking for lavender bath salts and several shop owners made sure to help me find sel de bain. We were there for the open market at Sault which was so much fun. I brought a bike and rented an electric assist bike for my wife. We rode all over the valley through the lavender fields stopping for an occasional pichet of Rose' in mid evil villages. The local bike shop in Sault was super helpful. That is the best way to get around! We rented a convertible but really only used it when we left. If you are only a marginal rider, the e-bike will flatten even the biggest of hills (apparently there is a bone of contention as e-bikes are being used to climb Mont Ventoux--so anyone can do it now!).

I guess the best thing was the authenticity. It's a centuries-old building in a centuries-old village but the bed was very comfortable and my room had 2 large windows I could open. Best of all, even though my bathroom was down the hall, it had a heater. For me, that is a real luxury! Hot water was plentiful. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because it was a short walk to the patisserie and bar-tabac and we enjoyed eating where the locals do. PS - eat at the Petit Jardin literally across the old stone street. You'll thank me.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The accommodation was spick and span. The environment is amazing with great nature surroundings and views. We were travelling with a toddler of 1 year old, and he had a great time. The baby bed was super comfortable and in general we thought it was very convenient with a small kid. It was actually better than a 5 star hotel :-). Many thanks Steph and Kevin for the great hospitality.
